Rockstar Games has just updated Grand Theft Auto IV's official website with a video introducing its main character, Niko Bellic. This production, certainly one of the most awaited one of 2008, will be available in shops starting next Tuesday.

Where did you get the idea that the game runs smoother on the ps3? the only difference is less popin in exchange for a lengthy install (there will still be texture popin), and slightly better AA in exchange for less vibrant colours. Frame rate and textures are exactly the same.

Ofcourse the graphics whore in me wants the less texture popin (notice ign didnt say popUP)... but weigh that against a much better controler in the 360, and the fact that online seems to be a huge part of this game...and xbox live should give a much smoother experience in that, complete with mics, and buddy lists. Add to that future dlc which rockstar claim to be BIG...not simply added missions, but extended world big. Then i recon slightly more pop in is a compramise to live with.
Ah, i meant smoother as in "less aliasing" :) I don't think the controller of the 360 is so great btw, the directionnal cross gave me a hell of a time in ghost reckon AW to give orders. If GTAIV uses the cross for something i am pretty sure to issues.

That said, i agree that the PSN network is no match for the Live, so if multiplayer is your thing, please go ahead :)

Rockstar should have used this as their TV spot in my opinion.

Great music to go with a great video.

Exactly what I was thinking. It builds the mood for the game a lot stronger than the actual TV ads.

i prefare the actual TV ads personally. coolness trumps mood imo. and the current ad is VERY cool. not to say this niko thing is crap or anything, looks great. but its too focused on him. while he is the main star of the game, the city plays just as big a part and the current TV ads show that off better.
