Konami released yet another strange video of Metal Gear Solid 4, this one celebrating the 10th year of the first MGS release by showing a snowy level in the game after showing the PS1 and Gamecube games and even the SSBM level. So is Kojima just toying with us, or will we get to play this level?
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Or at least that's all I need to say.

Commented on 2008-05-02 11:53:14...as characters talk and reference other stars of this universe, you may see an X or L1 button icon quickly flash on the screen. Hit the right button while it's highlighted and you'll be treated to a very brief context flashback. Basically, the system uses images and moments from the past Metal Gear games to help visually rekindle your own memories of the who, what, where, and why.
I hope that clears up the confusion and hope.
Commented on 2008-05-02 11:59:21 In reply to JollipopAs to this surpassing the first game....well, the premise is far more ambitious, the game is said to be the biggest yet, the game is more open and offers more possibilities, the bosses look to offer even more interesting gameplay possibilities, there is more variety in environments, graphics and art are more refined than ever, online mode seems decent... its just the most ambitious entry into the series. I havent anticipated any previous installment as much as this one...
Commented on 2008-05-02 16:54:31but the thing is, it is abandoned and all snowed in..noone is monitoring the area.
what this means is, snake will be revisiting shadow mosses, makes sense? Didn't they mention snake would go mono e mono against the new metal gear with the old metal gear?
and where was the old metal gear? shadow mosses! hello! with otacon on the team, snake needs to get the old metal gear and repair it..
so yeah, and with kojima teasing players, player might assume it is re-release of mgs1 with mgs4 graphics, but the truth is just as he said..snake is reVIsiting!
Hope that clears it up..kojima has always been great at creating hype

*Queues music..TIME PARADOX!!!!!!!!*
Commented on 2008-05-02 17:10:45Does this mean Snake will revist the place where it all began?
Is young Snake an alternate character unlocked upon completition of the game?
Will we be treated to such flashbacks throughout the game where we actually take control of Snake?
Did they mock this up just to tease MGS fans? ^_^

Those are memories i would like to play as, you know? just some levels..cause mgs2 and mgs1, they are in great graphics, but metal gear and metal gear 2, was all 2d and most gamers like me haven't played those, only read things through or known about events through mgs1, mgs2, and mgs3
Plus, my dream game would be to have a mgs game based on the life of grey fox!! or an anime based on the mgs universe! :P

but then the question remains, why end the trailer with
"is it possible to REplay MGS!?"
confusing

Commented on 2008-05-02 20:46:11Although MGO hasn't impressed me the actual game will, I'm sure.
Commented on 2008-05-02 22:20:31 In reply to IIGrayFoxIIi think the young snake "face" thats been seen in a previous trailer is just a mask you can wear as old snake (just like equiping the octocamo mask). MGS3 had a raiden mask i believe. so it wouldnt surprise me.

I mean, i never thought of the online aspect when i heard MGS4 was going to be released. I'm sure fans will agree.

Commented on 2008-05-04 07:37:42Yes, you will be able to play that stage but in old-Snake's dream. Its a great Kojima thing that he gives the player a complete freedom of control even if they're memories and the like.
Two entirely different and stunning environments have been shown... Middle-Eastern & Shadow-Moses... I'm really thrilled to anticipate an entirely diffent new revelation !!!
