I laugh at the people who are trying to convince themselves that this looks bad in any way. Aside from the lack of some effects (which is a given since this is not the finished product, just try to remember how Motorstorm 1's graphics improved from the PS2.5 graphics to one of the best launch game graphics), the game already looks much better than Motorstorm 1 in many ways. The car models are much more detailed, there's more colour, the sunset with all the shadowing & stuff looks even more awesome than it did in the first game, and all this in a pre-alpha build. So what if Crysis' alpha build was better looking than the end product (don't know if that's true, someone else said it in one of the posts), most PS3 games have just improved over time, oftentimes the improvements being really noticeable.

And another LOL for people whining about the physics. Motorstorm is supposed to be a fun arcade off-road racer. They'll definitely tune the physics more so that a monster truck doesn't bump off 20 feet up into the air from some small bump on the road like in this vid, but otherwise there's nothing really wrong with it. It's a little airy, but that's the way the devs want it to be. One of the most important things in Motorstorm, which anyone who has actually played Motorstorm 1 properly should know, is to learn to use jumps to your advantage the best you can. Go into a ramp in the wrong angle and it will cost you. Maybe that's not everyone's cup of tea, but if that's the case then go play Richard Burns Rally or some other rally simulator while the ones who like this kind of not-so-serious off-road racing will enjoy Motorstorm.
When you been a menber of this website for a while, you know its full of xbox fanbois with no life even the mods are xbox fanbois, thats why i dont visit this site to often, not everyone is bad, but well most of the guys are xbox fanboys and that kills the site for me.

anyways, Sony sony, you got the best on road racing game GT5p and now the best offroad racing game MS2.

Oh my god.

Try Flatout UC, a vastly under appreciated game, also has way more physics objects, way cooler looking cars, more colorful environments, and the game modes vastly outclass Motorstorm 1's...

I don't think it's fanboys or complainers. Take a look at the Mirror's Edge post, or some other games. People praise what looks good and put down what looks like shit.

It looks good so far. Obviously, still have lots to improve but I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Well, Mirror's Edge is multi-platform... that's why you won't find these same detractors. However, they'll instantly glom onto any bit of PS3 media that isn't unquestionably praise-worthy.

If Mirror's Edge was a PS3 exclusive, it surely would've been critisiced for it's unrealistic physics (girl jumps 20meters ?), it's overly clean/sterile look and it's female protagonist (a reason heavenly sword was attacked for).

When is it gonna look like the Motorstorm CGI-video from E3?

I never liked the first Motorstorm, so I'll probably won't like this one as well. But did they even think about realistic physics for this one, or are they going even more over the top than the first one?

Nice physics... for a boat simulation. Hate the garish colors as well. This game just fell off the radar.
