Vivendi released these new images of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, looking quite a bit better than I expected it to considering the previous titles in the franchise.

You if you choose, you can probably avoid the use of the "contraptions" if they aren't vital to the objective.
If people who make inovative games thinked that backwards-way, we would still be playing the same 'ol retr0 Pac-Man in HD, instead the inovative Pac-Man:CE.

If Rare was a multi-plat Dev( or sonys), that canary would sang a cheerful tune instead of blues, that's fo'sure...
I think the art is pretty nicely done, reminds me a little of Kameo, too..!
Still, I have to agree with the people saying the only cool Spyro games were the ones on the PS1, made by Insomniac Games, all following Spyro's sucked in my opinion..
So let's just hope this one turns out to be a change of pace..! :-D

Yeah, let's stick to old paths. Fucking hell, people moan about how rare has no spark left and then they create innovations such as VP and go outside the known paths with BK3 and people moan that they should repeat past successes.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen so much bs crammed into one post.
As for this, doesn't look THAT good - not bad either - even launch games such as kameo look better and that's saying something considering it started on the cube/xbox.
My g`friend used to be heavily into Spyro, but along came Warcraft and `BAM`, all other titles seemed to be a thing of history and memories lol. I`m sure that she`ll revel in the thought of finally playing a `next-gen` Spyro, but it`s not my cup of tea to be honest. Mind you though, I wouldn`t mind getting into an old-skool feeling platformer once again, so perhaps my money will be well spent on a title like this one???.
Spyro used to be made by Insomniac (makers of Resistance) and was for the Playstation console. The property was sold off and now it's multiplatform and has also been of poor quality since. This could be different, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Spyro 1 was easily the best in the franchise, I loved rescuing those frozen dragons. If this game is like any of the first 3 (on the PS1) I will definately pick it up.
If it is as crappy as any of the other games that came after I will pass.
