This is better alternative (I think): http://n-joy.cz/#/video/tom-clancys-hawx-ubidays-0...
waiting for some FarCry 2 gameplay fotage :) , keep up the good work ^^
Graphics look really good.
Missile lock on seems slower than in Ace Combat which is actually a good thing and nice to see the countermeasures in action. The help to approach ground targets is looking good too.
From the video it seems to be a very small bit more on the simulation side than Ace Combat. I mean longer lock on times, countermeasures, fewer bandits.
At the same time it still is arcade, this might be a very good mix.
But what was with this camera change? – For me that camera position would be unplayable!
And they should consider this “Warning! Warning! Incoming! Incoming!”
A peep that is getting faster the closer the missile comes is enough and less annoying.
Yet such a game can’t be just judged from videos. I need to see for myself how it handles.
By the way will there be cockpit views?
I wish there were more of a sense that the missiles actually released from your wings
I wish there were more of a sense that the missiles actually released from your wings
But yes I will admit that it still seems like they just pop out of nowhere.
That's something I noticed while watching. The way the missiles released just seemed 'off'.
....
also for those that are upset about it being more arcade than sim... you guys do realize a SIMULATION fighter pilot game would be stupid right? considering in an f22 dogfights and any close air combat thats exciting doesnt exist... i mean the f22's radar locks onto targets... well its classified but its farther than any other plane before... and most of its missles have a 50+ mile range.
also for those that are upset about it being more arcade than sim...
Modern air superiority fighters are able to track several targets beyond the horizon and fire and forget missiles with ranges way over 50 miles do their part
It just doesnt seem to have that "dogfight feel". Its just a bunch of overly arcade 3rd person stuff and wierd physics..
Nothing like Ace Combat 6, which still reigns supreme.
Im not complaining that its arcade, im complaining about that its arcade done wrong :P
This looks more like what I wanted.. I will indeed buy this, day one... looks awesome.. wish it came with a special edition that would pack a joystick controller with the game for 360 or PS3 for around $130 or less that would be amazing.

I would grab that in a heart beat... would be much better then a stupid little halo helmet...
I hope they do make a special edition would be really cool.. and I think it would sell big a lot of people want a cool joystick controller, for flying... (not to mention when Part 2 comes out you will already have the controller... )
Ubisoft is firing on all 12 cylinders and it's amazing how nice they are getting at making killer games.. Really Great job.
