Riddick was not a game made by Vin Diesel, but by starbreeze. But Midway is not famous for triple A games if you know what I mean.
And it looks like their is an old iron gathering under vin's car hood.
I'm hoping that this game is developed with the utmost care like Riddick for Xbox was. I'm pretty sure by now Vin Diesel knows what a good game should look and play like. I'm just not so sure about Midway though.
Just for the record Vin Diesel did make his strongest piece of acting EVER in Escape from butchers bay though. Kudos for that...i guess.
Saw the gameplay vids with commentary and couldn't help but burst in to laughing as the dev mentioned how they had created this "living breathing city"...with like a handfull of people walking around in that empty/bland/dull "city". Seriously, we're not that blind!
Why do FPS games make the game industry worse? Diversity is what I like. So FPS games have the right to be there. It's not because you don't like FPS, that there shouldn't be any. I don't like RTS, but I don't care if they exist.
See the obvious retardation fo this statement is that the reason Riddick was great was NOT Vin Diesel. It was because starbreeze is a competent developer. Midway's way of making a game is much like putting a turd in a dvd case and squeezing it shut. At least that's what pops in to my ehad every time i try one of their horrid games. And just cause the modeled the lead after a second rate actor hardly makes the game potentially good in any way.

But also saying that Vin Diesel didn't help at all with Butcher Bay is false. One more thing, I could care less how much you hate Vin Diesel, but try not to direct your hate for him at other people.
Honestly, why do you think Vin Diesel had anything to do with Butchers bay just cause he voiced Riddick? It'd be like claiming that Patric Stewart had a mayor role in deving oblivion or Toby Mcguire is to blame for the shitty Spider-Man games. It's just stupid.
Please do tell what Vin did to help make Butcher's bay if you have some concrete facts though. As far as i'm concerned he's a voice actor, cause that's all he was ever credited for afaik.
Also i didn't call you a retard, i called this particular idea of Vin having anything to with the game, other than the voice and appearance, retarded. But like i said, if you know something that i don't, then please do enlighten me.
Oh and yeah really... Vin WE WANT Riddick game sequel not some stupid action game...
Contra: yeah i'm sure that Vin went in there, took control of all the pale nerds and just dominated production of the game.

So what we've established so far is this:
*Starbreeze Wrote the story.
*Starbreeze designed and coded the game.
*Tigon/Vivendi published it.
Yes, Mr. Diesels endeavors in the gaming world seem to be stunning feats indeed. He licensed himself to vivendi and then voiced himself in the resulting game! He must be a superb game designer to accomplish that. No doubt about it.
Johnny: Uhuh? Then how do you explain how Pitch Black is decent at best and The Chronicles of Riddick sucks donkey nuts while the game rocks? Also Mikael Säker is credited as head writer of the game along with a bunch of other guys who seemingly has nothing to do with riddick other than the game...hmmm. As far as i can tell the the only thing Mr. Diesel (and by extension Tigon) had to do with butchers bay is distribution, which they didn't even do on their own either as it turns out Vivendi had a hand to play in it (my guess would be Vivendi did most of the work).

And regardless of who is right your both twits.
Game looks ok. Might have some decent gameplay from what I've seen. Have to wait and see I guess.
WOW This game is still alive?!

Also this game looks mediocre at best. When a trailer, a movie clip existing only to excite, fails to look exciting the game itself is bound to be BAD.
Baku: Aren't starbreeze making dark athena? Or is that some other company? If they are indeed making wholly new Riddick game then i will be very much so exited ^^
well at least he isn't fighting terrorists in iraq
still looks like shit
next gen developing should be about bringin more dtail into the characters behaviour..
Looks totally shit
