PS3

Now that most of the fans have completed Metal Gear Solid 4 from head to toe and know all the dialogues by heart, it's time to please ourselves with gameplay videos showcasing the best moments of this already classic fourth and last episode of the Metal Gear Solid saga. More details after the jump.

For today's clips, let's begin with the impressive bike chase of Act 3 - Snake shooting ennemies in bullet-time while riding his mama's Harley is a quite priceless sequence. I don't play very well at the beginning, but it goes better after that.

Second video, the arrival at Shadow Moses nine years after the events of Metal Gear Solid. A nice sequence that should revive the memories and nostlagia of the most hardcore fans.

Third clip, the full infiltration scene of the Outer Heaven deck, performed without a kill nor alarm. Not as easy as it looks !

And finally, the fourth video immortalizes the final fight of the game, a bare-hand duel under the sun concluding the Metal Gear Solid saga in sweat, blood and old men groanings.

More videos will follow later, don't hesitate to write suggestions in the comments if you'd like to see a specific part of the game. Enjoy !

I think if I had to play that motorcycle scene I'd get sick from that jerky as shit camera. The transitions in and out of that first person is so awful

Also I understand he has camo on while crawling on the ground in the Outer Heaven video, but I'm sorry, camo or not, someone should be able to see a body or mound on the ground moving right in front of them

I came to watch the videos since a lot of people mentioned that these were some of the best parts of the game. They look okay but not something that a person who isn't a fan of MGS will be 'converted'.
Unfortunately for me the kooky story and voice acting will overshadow the actual game for me which is sad because some the sequences in the videos look fun.
Oh well, I guess I get to save some money for a different game.

i still dont understand the fuss about this game, especially the graphics, they look good at times, but basic at others, never amazing, and so very flat too, animation system shouldve been brought upto modern day standards, you cant fault the directing of the cutscenes and stuff, they look great.

These videos aren't overwhelming. Definitely a skippable game for non-games.

The begining of the Brother's Fight video reminded me of Akira "TETSUOOOOO" "KANEDAAAAAAA".

It's awesome.

This player is not playing on Big Boss Extreme mode(the hardest difficulty). I've seen footage of BB extreme where the AI is much better and guards will spot you regardless of whether or not your camo is 99%. If you want to see BB extreme gameplay, I suggest searching youtube.

The action looks pretty lame. The final boss fight is pretty lame too.
But the cutscenes are beyond amazing and graphics are ridiculous.
Just wish boss fights were a lot better

That got to me as well, but I did the whole thing in 3rd person and it was fine.

Also, about that second part, watch the Shadow Moses video and look for the hidden Gekkos in the snow :o I didn't even notice them when I played, but caught a look watching this video.

Yes please Snoopers... please post that video too, especially the fighting cutscene, complete with gameplay... this site is especially great because you guys post videos in .avi format too, that is so clean-cut and sharp that it deserves to be owned on your PC.

Requesting again!!!

finished the game on big boss hard, what a game!

epic or what!

i like the scene where snake goes *um..anyone got a smoke?* LOL snake! the greatest video game character of all time and will ever be!

Fight between snake and liquid rocks!, you really feel the punches..the chase scene in europe is one of the best, epic as hell.

Johny is funny, and i think raiden just kicked ass in all of his scenes

I thought the ending scene in the graveyard was * WOW!* did not expect it and seeing the characters was just wow..

Going to miss snake alot and people going on how a spoiler warning should be posted? well it's the games best moment videos, so obviously it is for people who completed the game and don't want anything spoiled.

Didn't they pop up and attack you as soon as you got to that place? it was where you fought raven in MGS1..hmm, they awoke and i was like * AHHH!* thought it was some rocks or something

Please Snoopers please!, Rayden Vs. Vamp video, from the start of the cutscene to the gameplay...

Please don't cut half of the cutscene like in the fourth video above.

Its a BIG request!!!

Just finished the game this morning (took so long cause i had laser surgery on monday), very satisfying ending which wrapped a lot of things up.
Final boss fight was a REAL pain in the ass, not knowing that l1 was block and the random ability of liquid ocelot to counter anything you throw...took me like 6 attempts to beat that phase.

Also, those split screen cutscenes were atrocious, how the heck can you watch whats goin on in one half of the screen if you have to pay attention to the other half just to survive.

Graphics as i said were hit and miss, ingame was meh especially as textures had a huge scale in quality but cutscenes were superb and all in engine, there were 2 or 3 scenes that had me thinkin they were cgi and i had to zoom to make sure they were realtime...abslutely stunning.

Sound was phenominal aswell, 7.1 really made a difference, boss battles and general battlefield sounds were all spaced out well to take advantage of the surround stage.

Real disappointed in the fact you cant just go watch cutscenes at any time it's the one feature that a "game" like this demands..hopefully someone will rip them all, but even still it doesnt match having the full 7.1 sound etc running from the game itself. Also starting the game again gave me another 2 min install, wish they would just let you keep all the data on there without havin to do an install everytime you go back to a different act.

Multiplayer again is all over the place, the incap with mashing of the left stick is about the most annoying thing in any multiplayer game ever, had a game earlier where the MG MK2 player had 4 of us pinnin in one area and just kept incappin us when we came round. They really need to rebalance that so 10 secs gets you up, not 30 - 40 of constant mashing to break your controller.

I heard this was more like an interactive movie than a game. But that fits to the MGS-series. It's always been like a movie. Not a bad thing, just a different genre altogether. Totally deserves the rating of 7-8 as a game. :)
