Codemasters unleashed GRID on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC earlier this month, and here are finally the first 10 minutes of the game. I excluded the first race as it's the same one we captured from the demo.
Many racing fans and othergamers have already gotten their hands on the game, and it's a great one that got very good reviews. The graphics are wonderful, the controls great and it has a deep single-player mode. I haven't been taking on all the different classes yet, but some of them are pretty hard to play - the steering differs so much between a touring car and a Formula car. The first 10 minutes video only shows the Touring class on two different tracks, but there might be a video here later with the Formula car and another different class.
I really like the menu interface in this game, one of the best I've ever used/seen. Aside from that i quite liked the demo, for a racer it was pretty good.
This game shouldn't be getting the upper 8 out of 10 reviews its been getting... I was disappointed in the direction away from the TOCA feel of the game, but I rented it, and it keeps me coming back. It is quite a ways from being in the league of TOCA or Forza, just cause the f'd it up with the whole lower common denominator Need for Speed audience. But it is a solid game, looks very good... but I wish it had been TOCA4, and had more features...
The replays are terrific, but why not the ability to switch to different cars or save out the replays like in Forza 2? And you can't upgrade your cars either like Forza or set them up...
Its a good game, but a few shades paler from the TOCA series...
Now how about that SimBim racing series coming to 360? What is up with SimBim and 360?
Grid is the best racer this year. It's actually the first race game that I really want to finish completely. The simbim racer games on PC are the best simulation racers ever. But you shouldn't compare it with Grid. Grid is all about speed and adrenalin racing. More of that!
I just finished this game the other day, its pretty good. But I do wish Codemasters would go back to the Toca series. I miss DTM and V8 Supercars and the rest that the Toca series had.
Good game but too average and too arcade. There should be more of simulation in GRiD. But that, what can you do with the car and damage visualisation is simply awesome!
Posted by Jato Way to mess up a great franchise (yes, this is virtually Toca 4) is all I can say! Seriously.... :(
Toca 4? I wish. It doesn't handle the same as the Toca series sadly. Its much more arcade (Grid). I do wish the DTM and V8 Supercars were in it though.

For someone who supposedly 'despises' Jedward so much, he bottled the chance to kick them out. (53 minutes ago)
