The tricks for the most part are sloppy and only occassionallyeffective, the tackling is an absolute joke, the shooting can be embarassing at times and set pieces are so badly done it's unbelievable.

Shooting is probably the only thing thats still better about PES, I think the worst thing about PES is the long/short passing and off-the-ball A.I its just sooo poor in comparison. To me, those are the most fundamental parts of a good football game and Euro 2008 make pes feel like a joke.

for me fifa gameplay is to slow. i do enjoy it sometimes but the gameplay of PES is so much better.

The passing is better in Euro 2008 than in Pes, but I seriously can't believe you think set pieces or slide tackling is better in Euro 2008. Or the gameplay in general for that matter.

Fifa is very close to becoming the more realistic football experience, but it certainly isn't the most fun in my books.

This really is Pes's last chance to try and retain its reputation as the best football game available.

If Fifa keeps improving as it does and Pes keeps on failing to fulfill its potential, there's only going to be one winner in the end.

Looking nice in the doctored shots :D

IF they refine the gameplay, and improve the shooting like a couple of people have said, this game is going to be freaking awesome. And I also agree that Euro 2008 beat PES in every department, and by quite a big margin.

Also, graphics in the two games are like day and night, like a drunk motherf*** and George Bush...........wait no, the last one is actually not a good comparison.

Playing Fifa08 with everything set on all manual pisses on PES2008 from a very great height. I dumped Fifa in the late 90s and went from ISS on PS1 - PES on PS2 all the way through to PES5 and then got fed up with Konami's lack of improvement, they just gladly kept taking the cash for minimal efforts and upgrades, at least with the advent of "next gen" EA started from scratch with a new engine, Fifa07 - UCL - Fifa08 - Euro 2008 were all giant steps compared to PES' tiny little steps, oh joy a new PES, new images of an old man sat on a bench, new animal heads!

The PC version of Fifa09 will feature graphics that are "almost" the same as the next gen version, with gameplay and features from the current gen version.

Fifa 08 is the best football game ever imo, the football you can play would make man utd and Arsenal drool!, Fifa 09 will improve even further imo.

Yeah, they always say that. Then when the time comes, there isnt even a resolution option, and definetly no graphics options lol.
EA Sports games on the PC are so far behind everything else thats its comical.
However, on the 360/ps3 they are utter bliss.

Personally I have no interest in playing sports games on PC so they can cancel it and pool all their resources onto the 360 for all I care :)
