Just understand the controls and u will love this
Not necessarily. I get the controls, but they still feel awkward and unresponsive. Baldur shouldn't inconsistently stop locking onto enemies for what appears to be no reason. Combos are weirdly sluggish as well.

Worst camera control i've ever seen
Agreed.

Camera control problems?

Set it to far so you can see the play area from... afar.

Done.

And incidentally this is meant to be like Diablo, not NG or DMC4, and in fact... plays like neither, but an ARPG... so... make of that what you will.

It still acts awkwardly at times. Not being able to control it really sucks ass as well.

I think everyone knows this as it's been said about a billion times now. You don't have to compare it to NG or DMC to see that the combat can be frustrating. Some people don't mind it, but others aren't wrong for wishing it was tighter and more responsive.

Hmmm, I've mixed feelings about this one. I had gotten used to the idea of the rather (read:extremely) awkward combat, but I was hoping the exploration part of the game would make up a great deal for that. But hearing these 10 hour playthrough stories puts me off.

It seems as thought the game world isn't as massive and diverse as I had hoped and that there aren't any interesting "hubs" in the game...atleast, from what I've seen and gathered so far.

I'll wait for the reviews and make up my mind based on them. I really digg this game, but 10 hours just isn't enough to warrant a purchase and if the exploration isn't atleast better than Mass Effect's...it won't be a purchase at all.

to paraphrase nearly every previewer from a week or 2 ago, it's better than i thought it would be.
but not being as bad doesn't equal it being the masterpiece some have tried (and still try) to hype it up to be.
and while its not as bad, and its no masterpiece, its closer to the bad end than the masterpice end.

its probably good enough if you go into it expecting the right things, but its not a title thats going to blow anyone away otherwise.

damn right , i played the demo a couple of minutes ago and this game is crap , i hope Epic wins the suit , bet this game is using stolen code from unreal engine which they didn't even programmed correctly , the graphics are bad , its glitchy , uninspiring and broken.

Yup I duno where the 10 hours can from either, but I'm guessing the replay value is from playing it online in Co-op, it's just a huge bummer they couldn't do 4 players.

I liked everything except the melee combat. I think having the right analog stick for the attacks was a very bad idea indeed, because it felt really unresponsive and clunky.

Still, loot never gets old and my Commando guy who I unlocked through some cheat/glitch looked proper cool at the end.
Try holding down the right stick in the directions instead of just tapping it, it help the feel alot. I'm loving it.

Kotaku had a preview copy, and they clocked it about 12 hours.

I don't own a 360, but from what I can tell from the video...

The good:

Very colorful
Story may be good
Story looks like it could be told well
I like the art direction from what I could see

The bad:

Animation seems stiff and clunky

I hate the fact that although they are 20,000 years in the past they sound like modern day people. I hate it when they do that in games. The rank even is similar to the modern day army. If he would've called him footsoldier, soldier, or pawn instead of private in that one scene, I would've liked that.

I don't like the fact they are using modern-like weapons... take a clue from the Stargate TV show: primitive but with futuristic capabilities are the perfect mix. Or even better, like god of war where the weapons have a futuristic function, but the look of the most powerful weapons don't resemble weapons.

Fighting looks like a pain because the animation cycles for the character seems slow for some reason.

Overall, looks intersting, but the gameplay won't save it; if anything, the pretty colors and story will... and Just like HAZE, this title will be good if you want it to be good.

In Wired's most recent preview (which was far from glowing) the author completed the entire game, prior to giving his impressions, and it took him ~10 hours. It appears that Kotaku had simular experiences as well.

I liked the demo a lot. Battle was intense and character slashed his sword where I wanted to although I was slashing all over the place. Camera control is good also. Just press LB to center it time to time. Though it would be better, if pressing LB would work in every place.

I think from the view I see it, it takes 10 hours to just rush through the game and not giving a damn about in-depth customization and detailed loot hunting.
But it will take a bit more time to do those things and keep finding better and cooler items, weapons and armor and going online with a friend and just having fun for even more loot.

But that is what I think it's gonna be, so I have yet to play the full version myself.
