The E3 is still not over for us, and Snoopers uploaded this nice quality video of Resistance 2, as usual in Multiplayer mode.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Do it like Cod or like Halo. Don't mix em up...
Commented on 2008-07-23 19:07:13They did WAY too much with the Chimera for them to ahve an identity. It's effectively ruined the series, and also the hop over the pond, has further damaged any identity it had.
It all Chimera had 4 glowing yellow eyes, it would be fine.
In this way, I have to admit, Killzone 2 is yet again, way up there as my most anticipated. It has a superb identity. Even if it's grey, ti has those beautiful purple lens flairs, and recognisable enemies. It's just a great iconographic indentity.
The only reason it won't do as well as Halo is becuase it won't contain the same shameless patriotism and the series didn't start after the fallout of 9/11. That's honestly what made Halo.
Commented on 2008-07-23 19:50:32Killzone 2 MP does look like it could turn out great (*cautious optimism*), this...not so much. Will try out the beta before I definitely rule it out though.

Halo sold well because believe it or not its a great game. The game play is there, its pick up and play..but theres also tactics to learn. The enemy AI is great (something killzone 2 is worrying me with), and for its time it looked great (the first two on the xbox). But not only that.. Halo has always been a technical marvel. Halo 1 brought us lan based multiplayer..a first for a console game. Halo 2 has online co-op throughout as well as online multiplayer. And Halo 3 was the first to bring us 4player co-op throughout the campaign. The ability to record EVERYTHING and share those recordings. Forge, the ability to set up your own levels. And it still looks good.
Then theres the story, which is actually quite deep, and a good reason for a film adaptation alone. Although i'll be the first to admit that it wasnt played out and arranged in the clearest fashion. But even though the structore of the story is alittle wonkey at times you also have to remember that before halo hit most games didnt focus on story.. there was pretty much only half life that had a working narration as you played. And Halo adopted this and stud out for it.
Lastly.. the reason why halo's so popular is because its constantly supported. I'm not paticularly a fanboy of the series to be honest, but i cant denie that Halo 3 is THE most supported game of this generation by its developers. No other developers invest so much in their games community, and i would say that as fact. Bungie are always placing events, double points weekends, game modes, and releasing maps.
So yeah.. to say Halo's success is just down to a pro america feeling is silly.

Commented on 2008-07-23 22:14:28Part 2, is not even gonna use the same engine. Its gonna use the Ratchet engine Which is way better. As good as one was, 2 is not one. Just like Halo 3 s***ed donkey balls, and one was ok. And This whole Halo love "After they built a nexrt gen game, that is arguably one of the most average shooters around. Is sick. Bills a idiot, and Im sighen to this site now, to stop the BS lol AKA TRUENEXTGEN

And if you did not get payed to make the first posts, Your a azz. You actually wrote that BS for free. Because the" take any amount" "b&**( slap me latter bill" hick azz Americans, actually get paid "ho money" to write posts. I know,, I know,, hard for the Brits to believe, but true. And If you did get paid to write one of those, your even more of an azz/ho.

Commented on 2008-07-24 07:12:44Plus this is off screen video , so quality sufers. But there is the same problem like in first RfoM , the crosshare in ironsights mode, that is just wrong, didn't liked it in the first game and it transitioned in to second one.
Commented on 2008-07-24 07:56:40 In reply to NervzThe bubble shield in R1 is unlocked during single player. Get informed, or at least finish the game before debating.
Heres footage of R1 having Bubble shield:

Back on topic. I agree that the bubble shields are ugly. And I also think that I know perfectly well why this game doesn't 'feel' good. No head bob, and AWFUL gun perpesctive. It's as if you are shooting off to the left. And the perspectvie is too extreme.
Look at Killzone 2 or Call of Duty 4 for reference.
But I wills till be getting it, because to be honest, althoguh clusterfecky here, I have been in games where it all get's like that. Including Halo, the god of multiplayers (sarcasm).
As for the whole Aliens in WW2, figure of speech i didn't claim it as fact, but just the overall concept, being they are aliens/creatures attacking man kind in that type of AGED era. SIMPLE!
don't nip pick to try and put me down, its silly.

Listen, it's the same concept..a bubble shield that stops bullets....R1 had it before Halo 3 was even out. Bungie might or might not have used the idea, but my point was to correct you which i did.
You claimed there was NOTHING of the kind in R1, you were WRONG...don't twist it around, cause you we corrected.

.
And YES everyone, Resistance had the bubble shield first, Halo copied the concept... the end; R2 just mixed the human Backlash grenade with the Chimeran portable shield...
...and for those saying Resistance 2 has no identity, consider How the Halo franchise ripped-off just about every Sci-fi plot known...
... First, in making Halo, Bungie rips off the soldier design of Doom and/or Quake, then give them a "last of the breed" legacy like the jedi; easy enough. Now steal the Space Marines from Aliens (especially "sarge") and heck, then steal the aliens themselves; but put the predator's mouth (and wristblade, armor, honor system) on their bodies. "Borrow" the Ringworld/Dyson sphere concept and steal the Dominion concept from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, then call it the Covenant. Put them all together in a clunky "forgotten civilization" scenario because you know, that's never been done before (er, hum, Mission to Mars, Contact, Stargate, 2001/2010, ect) and you have Halo. Steal Quake 3's/Unreal's multiplayer, and you have Halo's Multiplayer. Easy as Pie. Actually, I'm shocked that there's not a line outside of Microsoft from Bungie ripping off so many sci-fi stories.
Commented on 2008-07-26 10:28:15Heck, I remember how when the Halo 3 commercials came out, everyone was saying that the game was going to look like the CG... only to come out a SD game... So for all of the hype people try to shove down each other's throats, the truth remains that graphically Halo 3 wasn't much better than 2. The gameplay is slow compared to many games this gen, especially against the very fast Resistance 1. The only game that I know of that moves slower than Halo 3 is Lost Planet and MGO, but you're supposed to move slow in both of those, at least.
and I do think that's why all of the graphically spectacular games that were supposed to come out on the 360 were delayed... like Alan Wake and Splinter Cell; it's because they're trying to get very high quality graphics with size, and it's not working from what the 360 can do.
My reasoning is that if the 360 is supposed to be the easier of the two big consoles to program, then why are games getting delayed? It can't be because of the difficulty of programming, that's for the PS3; it can't be because of the DVD, Microsoft said one was enough, plus if it wasn't, you can always put it on more than one DVD. It's got to be something about hitting the limits of the 360 in some way...
