You can dream all you want, kid, but it won't do any good 'cause when you wake up again you'll realize nothing has changed.

I hope this game has a compelling storyline to match the nice graphics (really like the artistic direction for the main character models).

The way it incorporates all of that into a seamless, real-time system, that's an achievement.
It's easy to make turn-based or normal action-RPGs look pretty because they have isolated environments that the system can take time to work on, but if everything happens at once, of course something has to give.

Seriously though.. you've seen the screen shots, you've seen the demo vids.. are you telling me that you think the quality of the backgrounds, the textures of the levels, are on par with the characters? They're not doing it for me.. and thelastremnant just looks better as a whole for me.
As for the character models looking better than the backrounds, I agree there. I just dont think the backrounds look bad by any means. The character models are just that good. On the frame rate, ive heard its been pretty bad at every showing, but im personally not very sensitive to framerates. I can live with 9fps in WoW and be just happy. The only time in gaming where I couldnt play a game due to framerate was the original madden title on the SNES. That was just horrible.

After researching a bit, including the ever unreliable wikipedia, seems MS does indeed own the IP as well for this title. So its more like halo is now, where its more of a subcontracted title.
