Lionhead Studios released these images of Fable 2, to show how you can dress your characters in different variations. The game is planned to be released in the end of October.

Are you serious?? Hmmm... Since this game is Fable 2, the sequel to the very game that first bored you, I'd say....... NO!!!

Screenshots don't necessarily do the game any favours, but any of the footage I've seen has been gorgeous. There are flaws and certain things maybe aren't as high-res as they could be, but the game still ends up looking beautiful despite the shortcomings. The whole is more than the sum of its parts.

This is one of those games that look great in some shots, but horrible in others. In-game able 2 looks very nice though.

Bioshock was like this to, some of the shots looked pretty bad, but in-game it looks great.

on xbox live markedplace, I downloaded a developer diary trailer or something.. the graphics shown there was absolutely artisticly stunning, a really nice cartoonish look.. here on these pics, it looks like they've used the halflife 1 engine.. its just .. WTF?

No character creation, it works like the first game were the character changes depending on your actions, only now there are far more things that will alter your appearence, so not everyone will end up with a character that looks pretty much the same.

Purity/Corruption, Kindness/Cruelty, Rich/Poor and Good/Evil all affect your characters appearence now. And you can also dye hair and clothes, get different hair styles, etc.

Like people have stated, the screens don't do this game much justice. If you check out any gameplay video's or developer diary's then you'll see it looks much more impressive.
Then again, graphics don't make a game any better. A good example would be Spore that's just been released on the PC. Easily the best PC game I've played in years and yet the graphics aren't anything special.
Just something to think about...

Yup, screens look horrible. But once again, if you try watching some of the gameplay videos, the game looks vastly better. I thought by this point people would have learned to stop judging 360/PS3 games by screenshots.

Even games like MGS4 looked laughable in a lot of shots.

"groundbreaking" maybe not..it did how ever look current generation for the xbox..it didnt look like a playstation game for example.

The Killzone guys did the same...
Do they want to confuse us? Are the trying to surprise us when we see the game running at a pal's machine?! I don' get it! Others won't get the game, because of those screens...

they use creens to show thing that will take too long to set up on a video these screens serve a perpose for example how differant character models can end up looking while gameplay videos show things like combat or how the game actualy looks in motion and anyone who guide themselves by screenshots whil tons of video is available just shouldent be buying games period

I agree ad disagree with what pUMBa said.
The people that base games on screenshots shouldn't have a right to be taken seriously as 99% of the time screenshots are Photoshopped to make them look better than they actually are.
If you're a graphics whore than you'll want actual gameplay video's so you can have a true representation.

As for the later comment, even though I'm looking more forward to Fable 2, I think Fallout 3 will end up selling more. Why you may ask? Well it's multiformat for a start and it also happens to involve shooting things, and 'shooty' games sell by the bucket load, especially in the US.
I also fell that Fable's humour doesn't transfer well to US audiences and they seem to have trouble with the different accents as well.

Twice the exposure???? are you sure? i dont see much of fable 2 on ps3 magazines, or game sites.. or pc mags and gamesites for that matter.

Ofcourse Fallout 3 will sell more, its on more platforms
