That's not a criticism, just stating the obvious. There's no point in downplaying the game when we still don't know much about the other towns or, actually, about most environments.

Seriously you guys? Goty? It really doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting it. There are just too many high-profile games coming down the pipeline. I wish it were goty material, and I know I'm going to enjoy it immensely, but I'd be surprised if it even averaged 90% on Metacritic.

as i've said elsewhere, im only commenting on what im seeing NOW. i obviously have faith in the game deliverly as a whole or i wouldnt be paying EXTRA for the limited edition version. but i just dont think its particualtly "normal" to be so optimistic about EVERYTHING, and thats all my comments have been, small isses i have with what im seeing at the time. some games i have no issues with at all (LBP) some games i have small issues with (R2 and its meh looking co-op, the linearity and scale of fable 2) and other games i just cant justify a purchase because of the problems i have with the games (far cry 2, banjo 3 etc)

this isnt a high profile game?and why only down the pipeline just look back at all the games that came out this year like gta IV , mgs4 , cod4(i think im going to chage the saying from third times the charm to fourth )and more. yet even with all of those out there i cant help but think that fables going to win alot of award and who knows from what ive read about websites who got to play it for only three hours its going to be great even goty material well only 24 days til it comes out so im not going to make assumptions until then cough...cough...goty...cough

im with ron on this one personally. i think its going to be an amazing game, and everyone who plays it should be happy with it, but i dont think its GOTY material. i think it'll get plenty of 9's, but i dont think its going to get many, if any 10's like MGS4 or GTA4 did. its a AAA title, just not a GOTY one...personally i think LBP, MGS4, GTA4 or fallout 3 are the games that will get most awards. possibly spore for inovations sake, even if it kinda underdelivered.

What you're seeing is a town, and not particularly small. Nothing more and nothing less. Does it really make any sense to complain about something that is not shown on the video? I don't think so.

As for the GOTY, to me that's a pointless title. There's never a general consensus when it comes to those things. And no, review scores don't mean a thing. In that case GTA IV would already be GOTY, which sounds laughable to say the least. Fortunately, we have better things to look forward to. For me there is not just one GOTY, but several, and Fable II is just one of them.

it is when the original fable was a game of undelivered promised, enjoyable? yes, but did it deliver on its hyped up promises? no. i think if any game is to be looked upon with hesitance, its this one.

So, you're super excited about something you're not sure is going to deliver. Is that it?

Honestly, the main reason Fable undelivered was because of PM. He likes to talk too much too soon. This time he's been effectively kept from running his mouth, and it shows. Most features he's talked about have already been demonstrated. The main thing we can't be sure of right now is the size of Albion, supposedly ten times bigger than the world of Fable 1.

This is gonna be great! I'm pretty it'll grab me just as much as Mass Effect has been these last few weeks - bought it for the PC the other week, loving the new All-in-One interface, but really struggling with the Mouse-Keys business, not intuitive AT ALL! (translate - keep getting shot...)

It's the story, the characters, the general atmosphere of these games that keeps you coming back for more, not the shiny, shiny graphics.

The first may not have been all it was cracked up to be, but it was still the best game I played that year! Have some faith people!

Fable 1 is one of my favorites simply because of the atmosphere it created and Fable 2 looks to be no different.

Like Cliffy B. would say: "bigger, better, and more badass indeed" D. Fable 2 looks phenomenal, the same art style of Fable 1, but improved with a bigger world, better textures, a lot of detail, a lot of posibilities and Molineux sopke about better storyline. Can´t wait for this!!!

PD: The video is GREAT, Bowerstone looks better than ever.

I'm sure I've pointed this out before, but you always post very negative thoughts about everything on the 360, where as I've never seen you do anything but praise everything on the PS3. I dislike the term fanboy, but it's very clear you're very biased.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, I'm certainly biased towards the 360, but I know when to keep my mouth shut about games that just don't interest me.

The town showed here seemed very big, from what we can tell. It's likely going to be the biggest city in the game, it definitely seems to be the major one at least. I don't see why it would really need to be any bigger, or why any other locations would need to be this large either. This isn't a free roaming game, and it doesn't need to be big for the sake of being big.
