E3: Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada... announced

Disney Interactive has just announced that Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned is under development though it won't be released for some time. The game should be an action RPG similar to the Fable series. Before we can fond out more about it, here are the first images of the game.

I don't know if the world is honestly interesting enough for me to want to play. I mean outside the three principal characters in the series and the Voodoo lady, can't remember her name, there isn't anything great about this series(well the CGI for Davy Jones is amazing).

Never liked the trilogy but game could be fun. I'd like to see this game be more economic/trading/multiplayer wise the fable.

Fingers crossed, love the time setting and the area's for a games setting, so I hope its good :) Plus the trilogy is one of my favourite films of all time so i'll obviously be a bit biased xD

It's important to recognise that this isn't tied to the movies in any way; it's entirely original in that regard.

It also looks stunning. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

The two sequel movies were crap as was the last game so I don't mind at all if they don't follow the leads from the movie. I'd actually prefer it. That said, the idea of a pirate based action RPG sounds pretty awesome to me.

Actually I love the previous one, so I think I'll take this one as well.

IRAIPT0IR Not that I care for reviews in the case of Bayonetta but if 10s and 9s make some doubters buy a copy then so be it,this game deserves a lot of sales and good reviews its going to help in that. (0 minute ago)

SimonM7 They never died, we just started spending tons of time investing in our hobbies to the point where we can form our own rough estimates before purchases. Most people still can't, reviews are for them. (10 minutes ago)

dingleberry RPG's are always going to be contentious when it comes to reviews. They aren't everyone's cup of tea. As for reviewers, credibility died a long, long time ago as soon as 10/10 scores bacame a norm. (50 minutes ago)

Doom_Bringer BTW I have 3 guest passes for a PC zero gravity shooter called Shattered Horizon..if anyone here has Windows 7 or Vista (need DX10+) and wants to check the game out, post here (58 minutes ago)

SimonM7 EDGE is well above ripping games a new one though. They don't exactly need to have emo fits to put them on the map. (1 Hour ago)
