8 720p images of Frame City Killer

Namco keeps trying to hype Frame City Killer by releasing lots and lots of screenshots of the game. Is that really such a good idea?

I think they'd be better of polishing the gameplay and graphics, can't really judge by the crappy quality videos and some good quality screenies (screens don't really look that good anyways compared to the real thing moving), this could be good aswell..guess we'll have to wait and see what this is all about :)

I can't help but think of this as the ugly duckling of the xbox360 :( I mean it's looking for so much attention but its like "no.. Frame City Killer what are you doing here? You should be swimming with all the xbox'lings...". I really don't like to base my opinion of a game from its graphics, but you just can't help it looking at these screenshots. But who knows it might turn out to be a swan...

God this game is ugly.

I don't really remember there being lots of guns/shooting action in Shenmue..plus it was..good. :)

I think this is gonna be one of those games you dont appreciate until you see it in action atleast I hope thats the case

This game looks rediculously terrible! They should be ashamed even showing the pics. I think Epic should revoke their Unreal Engine 3 license. :)

considering this game is a GTA-style game, those GFX are really not bad at all. Wall textures, floor textures, lighting all looks really good. Character model seems to have better hair now, less extreme bump mapping.

If the gameplay is awesome, than those GFX will be just fine, hopefully they do enable 4xAA by release though.

Yes but SaintsRow is also a GTA-style game with far better models and enviropments , i think.

Yeah, you don't really get a feel for how a game looks until it animates and you can see how shadows fall. I really gotta say Saint's Row looks pretty remarkable though, especially in cutscenes the models have a great sense of volume and the facial animations are what we've come to expect from AAA titles.

I STILL think what's gonna impress people about this is the scale though. I still think this will be more detailed than the sort of sandbox mentality of GTA and Saint's Row. This is most likely more Shenmue-y in that it originates from a focused game and works itself outwards towards scale. I'm writing an article about those two concepts for AETOA in fact.
