Codemasters will announce the evolution of racing video games revealing details of Race Driver 2: The Ultimate Racing Simulator at X03, Microsoft’s European showcase event for the Xbox console, on September 16th and 17th.
Race Driver 2: The Ultimate Racing Simulator is now in development at Codemasters’ UK studios. The title will launch in 2004 and be a significant gear-change for the award-winning TOCA Race Driver series.
Race Driver 2 is Codemasters’ most ambitious motorsport project to date and will feature the most diverse range of motorsports ever seen in one game to create the definitive circuit racing game experience.
In addition to the detailed announcement on the Race Driver 2 project at X03, Codemasters will also showcase its latest blockbuster titles for Xbox including Colin McRae Rally 04, the Club Football range of team-specific football action games and preview LMA Manager 2004.
Says Richard Eddy, Codemasters’ Head of Communications: “Race Driver 2: The Ultimate Racing Simulator is a hugely exciting project and we’re thrilled to be revealing details on the game at X03, which is now firmly established as a major event in the Xbox gaming calendar.”

@KORNdog: Speaking of Spiders, I finished Technomancer yesterday. Fun game but dragged down by WAY too much backtracking and lack of different locations. (17 Hours ago)
@KORNdog: I'm not far enough into the game yet but I heard the game world is very interesting and full of great quests with multiple choices. Those kinda things sound great to me. (17 Hours ago)
i honestly think they'd do better making something on a smaller scale. like an isometric action RPG. that spiders (developer) could do with going that direction too. (18 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: it just looks like a typical game from them to me. like they bit off more than they can chew and the results are just mediocrity across the board. (18 Hours ago)
@KORNdog: the facial animations are bullshit yes, animations in general are passable, combat isn't nearly as bad as I expected though. The world so far has been great, very very nice indeed. (18 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: it still looks all kinda of garbage though. lol (18 Hours ago)
tearing was horrible, not to mention loading times. Plus it really doesn't look too bad either. Trees and foliage swaying in the wind, nice lighting. Good job PB. course all the jank is still there :) (18 Hours ago)
