what so was that meant to be the ps3 actually running a real rime tech demo?
it just looked like a real world.surely it cant prove anything about the ps3 power

I don't understand what was people's problem with the first commercial. It doesn't do a very good job at showing what PS3 is about (so in that way, it's not a good commercial), but it was a well made commercial otherwise. The number 3 was shown in numerous ways during it, which was cool. I don't understand why people like the PS2 commercials so much (the David Lynch ones), which had absolutley nothing to do with PS2, and suddenly dislike the PS3 commercials that are not that different.

They are selling the ideology behind PS3. That's whats good about them.

They don't say "LOL LOOK HERE IS A PS3!! BUY IT NOW LOL!" They are explaining in a very good way the concept behind the PS3.

"The only time you can tell the difference is when the doctor tells you he can't find the bullet wounds!" - Hahaa! Pure genius!

like the voice of the chick..it's the only thing that made me watch it to the end.

And the begining and ending bit,dna strand and red blood cells like objects made from the playstation icons. that was beautiful

Only problem with pushing the whole 'HD visuals' thing is that only a very small percentage of people who have TVs, have HD ones.

Then again, at this point, they're pricing out all the people who don't have/can't afford HD tvs. So I guess it doesn't matter.
