Page 1 2 >>Looking forward to this, but so far pretty much every preview has been rather negative. They've apparantly done something to the controls..
Do this version includes the original 2D Arcade Version? I think I read that somewhere but with no confirmation.
Why do these XBLA updates of old games always seem to look like poor PS2 games. The download caps are high on XBLA now, there's no reason for devs to aim so ridiculously low with poly/texture/shader counts.
Big Budget game? No thanks, don't really want another 1 Gb, Watchmen 3 hours game for awhole 20 bucks.
Again, if the pricing of this is more than 1200 Spacebucks (Day 1 @ 800), hasta la vista.
The game looks quite nice in motion, and big deal because of the animation.

Do you understand that Microsoft didn't remake this game?
Well, whoever did, doesn't matter. Microsoft gave the green light, and that's all that matters.
Did they green light the PSN release too?
It's obvious this isn't a game that gains from being upscalled to 1080p. Just like all those Snes/Genesis games.

The only relevant question is: Does it have 4 player Coop (I'd say obviously yes, but you never know).
After playing with than uttershitty shit emulation of Streets of Rage 2, I'm burned for life.

I can't expect much more from what they already acheived. The game can play bad, play like nothing resembling the original, etc, but visuals? At least in that, they are very decent.
One thing I don't generally like in 3D Brawlers if the effect of swinging in air with the attack moves and having almost no feedback, as it seems its like in this one.
I prefer to hit one target and getting locked to him so I can hit in combos like Streets for Rage. I will wait till I can play the Trial.

Probably.
Got to watch some gameplay videos before i decide on this one.
Graphically, I don't see what all the whiners are crying about. In motion, the game looks stunning. The developers (whomever they are), kept the flavor, style and general color palette of the original arcade/SNES title, and gave them a proper next-gen update (complete with 720p, 5.1 surround and really nice lighting/shadow). Definitely looks a lot better than "borderline N64".

Although it's hard to judge any of it, good or bad, going by an off-screen video that's been coverted to a low-res and highly compressed YouTube video. (It hasn't even been uploaded in HQ, let alone HD.) After watching the videos I am willing to change my mind and say that it doesn't look like an N64 game anymore, it looks more like a Dreamcast game which is more acceptable, although I still think they could have made the graphics a lot better.
