Looks like POP started a trend in graphical expression. Good thing to me.
POP is also far from the first game to use NPR (non photoreal rendering), people have been doing it since the inception of the game industry. Even today there are still many standout examples, such as Okami, Wind Waker, Katamari Damacy, Mad World, Patapon, LocoRoco, Jet Set Radio, Valkyria Chronicles, and may more.
I assume you have no idea this is based on an anime series then. It uses the exact same style, and was made long before the new POP.

AND, even if this is not the first game to use a stylized 3D, it's undebatable how its shaders strikingly resemble POP's.

They could hardly be more different.

another game that to me would be a whole lot better if it had co-op. on its own it just seems a bit shallow...like a run of the mill hack and slash but with a cool art style.
Wow.
Too bad none of this matters for this game. A poor man's Ninja Gaiden, is this.

Throwing co-op at everything doesn't make good games. Look at Army of Two. At some point taking liberty with a license has to be factored into the equation. Two Afro Samurai running all over the place wouldn't make much sense within the context of the franchise.
hell, halo 1 just cloned master chief for co-op, i dont see how it would hurt this game if it did the same...only give him a different coloured afro or something. it doesnt need to make sense in the context of the story...thats what single player is for. im willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of fun....thats what gaming is about right? right?
no it is not. I would actually play this than the annoyance ninja gaiden 2 was. Combat in this look great, great story and a very pleasing visuals. I'm all over this. Sides he is a samurai not a ninja. Different sword weilding dudes.
