Ubisoft just sent us the first developer diary of Assassin's Creed 2, unfortunately not showing much new stuff.

What I like about this diary is that they seem to focus on a story driven campaign, that is much richer than the first AC.
At the end: will he be able to shoot bullets from a hidden weapon? That would be a great new feature. I surprised meself that I didn't realise that there was already gun powder in that period of time and that it could be part of the game.

I've heard that he will have one bullet to use in a tight situation.

This is rental for me. After all repetative as hell sandbox games from Ubisoft (AC, Far Cry 2, PoP 2008... all of them absolutelly amazing technically, but the gameplay get so boring after first 2-3 hours) i cannot pay full price for next one.

:>

If its like the first one, I'll rent it or buy it on ebay after a few months. The first game was very cool in concept and execution at first, but it got boring after awhile. Hopefully this one will remain interesting in both gameplay and story from start to finish

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX That gamasutra articles doesn't mention either MNC or DirtyBomb though. So I think we can agree that people tend to overlook gaps in the genre's history. This shit did not kick off with Battleborn/OW. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX OW and DirtyBomb are not MOBA-light games. They are team FPS games that have heroes. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX DirtyBomb did something that was at the time unique. You could not call it unique anymore. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Tinks: I know you think that. But they're not really the same genre. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I could be wrong, but I think the first MNC really did just have classes and no overlapping roles. Think they added "pros" in the sequel. (3 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks some lean more moba, or more tower defense, or more shooter, but I think everything we're talking about is connected (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Surely you can spot the differences. (4 Hours ago)
