For an open world game they're insane.

It's a cutscene though, they can crank it up like other in-engine cutscenes (Uncharted, MGS 4, etc).

You can usually tell when they're 'cranked up', I'm pretty sure that wasn't. Just compare it to the announcement trailer which was 'in-engine'.

Also kind of unimpressed by the visuals, blocky environments, plain textures and crummy looking vegitation even for an open world game, but i guess the cities will look better outdoor environments have never been a stong point of the asscreed series.
Still really looking forward to this, i have been longing for a proper sequel.

I'll have to go with less. It's going to be a vastly more unpopulated and city-less game this time around. You should chance the screen-tearing factor and add the pop-up(trees).

Except for the devs being able to put thousands of NPCs on screen. At pax they showed connor in the middle of the battle of bunker hill.

It's nice that they're doing something different this time, but I can't help but feel the choice of location is dull and uninteresting. There is some concept art floating around of an Assassins game set in ancient China or Japan, now that could really have been something interesting.

I have never played any of the creed games. There is something about them that just feels uninspired to me. I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

But I must say this one seems like it could be interesting.
