Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

We're trying to catch up with Need for Speed: Shift's promotional videos and it's not always easy. Today, we're giving you no less than 5 different trailers presenting either tracks, cars or a new game mode and there's even an interview of Jesse Abney in the bunch. The hype machine is definitely on with EA as we get closer to the release date.

Spa? I'm jealous, I'd like to see that track on FM3. The best GP track imo.

Oh this game is simply amazing in cockpit view. I'm far more excited for this than DiRT2.

Wow!!! Very very slick trailers. I especially love the London trailer, being a Londoner and knowing the sights of loving very well. I can't wait for this game.
What a great year for motorheads.

I bet this is PC footage somehow I just feel like something isn't quite there with NFS: Shift and I'd say it's largely due to the lack of any demo. Demo's prove that developers believe in there product and more importantly DiRT 2, it's most direct competition released one which ended up convincing me.

I agree the lack of a demo is not a good sign. I'll rent this game and if it is actually as good as the hype, then I'll drop the money for it.

These Shift threads always remind me how fickle most gamers are though. EA and NFS haven't put out a good game in how long now and all it takes is a bunch of videos with nice graphics (though not as nice as many act like) and a well done cockpit view and people are all going crazy for it.

I agree the game looks like it has tons of potential, but anyone who is a serious motorhead and is more hyped for this than GT5 or Forza 3? Come on now....

Race Track meets Tokyo Drift...

If this turns out to be realistic, I might even pick it up, but right now it looks like...meh.

Combining arcadey physics and proper race tracks is the worst design-decision you can possibly make imo.

@Redneck
I agree 100% about arcade physics and proper race tracks being a worthless combination (just look at Grid). But if they do it right, a decent mix of arcade with simulation sensabilities (like the brilliant PGR games), then Shift could be really damn good. It all depends on how well they make you feel attached to your car. PGR nailed the arcade/sim combination, but games like other NFS games and Grid show how bad it can be.

Lets hope SimBin had the right influence and this one, by some miracle, turns out to be a proper racing game

I agree. This game needs a demo. I can see from the movies that I will like it but some people doesn't have that gift.

ok, the Spa track presentation is nice but 1 thing bothers me. What in the world is that carousel thing doing near the track :s that's so not realistic. been to Spa-Francorchamps (that's the name as it should be) and never have I seen that standing there.

Yep Im pretty excited about this. The series is starting to lose its awful baditude go back to just being a great racing game. Spa is an awesome track that no cap-wearing street racing wannabe could master. Too bad its not in Forza 3. Sound effects are awesome as well.

If this game would feel PGR, I'd be a happy man.
But seeing those videos, it looks more arcadey than PGR.
(Michellin test-track and Nürburgring where the tracks I had the least fun with in PGR4)

That is because they didn’t.

lol, well that was pretty straight forward. That sealed it for me: It can't be a good game when NFS is written on it, no matter who does it... never.

Not really sure that answered too many questions. Just a clip of a race. This looked a lot less arcade heavy than other "all assists off" clips seen before, but until i play a demo I will keep my hopes high, but my expectations low. With Forza 3 and GT5 around the corner, this game is would only be icing on the cake anyhow. But still, the more good racers the better.

I'm still hoping for a PGR type gameplay more than anything else. Damn I wish that series wasn't dead.

That vid actually got me excited again for this game, graphics are stunning and the handling looks pretty decent to me (i.e: not Codemasters-esque crappy).

The cockpitview really is the highlight of this game for me, it looks awesome! Especially when it get's a little blurry inside, I love that...

Grid was epic. Who wants realism when you can have fun? Sounds like a totally retarded gaming choice to me. It's not about how accurate the -driving- is, it's about how fun the -racing- is.
