Enlight Software sent us a bunch of images from their controversial cel-shaded game Bad Day L.A. Could someone remind my of why a GTA-a-like in cartoon graphics is a good thing? Crackdown doesn't count! Bad Day LA will, if everything goes as planned, hit stores in July.

I thought this game came out ages ago?
(But I guess they used another config)
Almost in the same league as the images a couple of weeks ago when they still had the Windows task bar on.
I don't know if I'm interested in this or not, but I think they're at least trying something somewhat different, not just copying a popular genre.
According to the official site, it's broken up into 10 levels.
plus its not about being a gangster, youre a homeless guy who has to survive, and maybe help a few people, during the worst day that la has ever seen. its a disaster/survival/rescue game.
i think i even read somewhere that the only people you kill are zombies.
The very fact that it is NOT one of those, already makes it a winner in my book. The fact that it is one of the truly rare games attempting to actually make a statement or some form of real social commentary (along with attempting to be fun), Bad Day L.A. has been on my gaming radar for months now. With luck it will play (and be as funny) as promised, and then we can all have something to celebrate about . . . another good game.
