GSY Live PC PS4 Xbox One

Considering the awful PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight, it was quite a sad livestream to watch overall. That being said, if you want to know more about our financial situation, what we plan on doing, and also who we don't really appreciate, you might want to skip the first 30 minutes and listen to the rest. We were awfully tired so don't expect excellent English or sensible reactions from us, but after watching you'll know what is going on for Gamersyde.

there is a memory issue with NVidia 970 cards SLI'd which could be the framerate issue also. they have 500mb of slow video ram that screws up some games. are you sure you are not experiencing this issue?

The reason you guys struggled to run it properly was because the game is Vram intensive. With all the settings turned on, and playing it at 1440p I was using over 5GB of Vram on my TitanX. My performance was rock solid, those GTX970's were a bad investment, sorry to say.

Monitor your Vram usage while playing, I have every confidence that that is the issue.

I would say Batman was, but we didn't pay for it. When games like the Witcher 3 or even GTA V are butter smooth, just like any other games we've played on this rig, I think it's fair to say that someone screwed up big time. Also, not everyone can afford a Titan X, especially us considering our poor financial state.

Also, why do we need a $1000 GPU to run a game that runs/looks better on PS4? The PC port is missing graphics effects that the console versions have... its a TERRIBLE port. Game is super fun though, so theres that.

Im so glad I didn't buy this on pc, I think ill wait and buy it preowned end of the year or so, its a big mess and them blaming it on the other studio they used for the pc port is very stupid since I assume before release they would be trying the game out loads of times

Once Xbox One and PC are merged into the Win10 ecosystem, we may yet get a break from this garbage. Firstly, with how easy, fast, and cost efficient It will be to port games from one DX12 platform to another, PC/X1 could end up being lead development platform, as it would then crush the PS4 total install base considering how huge PC gaming is. If that happens, PC gamers wont have to worry about getting shafted on ports.

Secondly, once they merge, console owners will NEVER have to worry about having some bullshit pulled on them, being a part of the PC ''family'' now. Look what happened with this game, STEAM pulled the game from the store, did refunds, etc. The PC community outcry over paid mods reversed that too. PC community definitely wont take anything laying down, so anyone under the Microsoft family tree will benefit from that.

This is not the reason at all. There are numerous issues with the Arkham Knight PC port.
To elaborate, what he means about the RAM usage, is that the VRAM usage in this game is terribly optimized. I think one person put it this way: "its like they mirrored the PS4 code to PC, unoptimized, vram usage was at 6.5GB as well as outrageous system ram usage''--yeah, the game is terribly unoptimized, AKA a shitty port as you are saying in laymans terms, he is stating a problem with the optimization.

Arkham Knight doesn't have the best graphics ever, and its not a substantial amount better than the previous Batman game graphically either--which ran great by the way. In other words, the team of 12 guys that ported this game never played it. I mean, what were they playing it on? Dual Titans? Nah, SLI support is broken--literally. A single Titan? Nah, performance sucks on that too. 980Ti? Well, it would make sense kind of, because NVidia could purposely be bloating the vram usage to make the 980Ti look good. Either way its garbage, glad WB un-released this sorry excuse for a game. I cant wait to hear the press release on the matter. Lol, its embarrassing enough they haven't addressed it already.

DF found it to be a problem as well "Meanwhile, VRAM usage is monstrous, with a reported 2.7GB used, even on low settings. " http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2... I guess it was one of many problems that I personally didn't encounter. I had no idea it was such a bad port, missing graphical features the consoles had. When I saw my vram usage while playing AK I knew lots of people would be affected by micro stutter, just like playing Shadow of Mordor with Ultra texture settings. But hey, they're fixing it now and have withdrawn it from sale in the meantime. http://www.pcgamer.com/warner-bros-is-suspending-s...

I wish I could donate a couple Titan X's to you guys, since you do such a good job with the site, if only I were rich. You guys should have a way to donate to the site like everyone else does. Sites like Jimquisition, Kinda Funny games, IGN, etc etc all have Patreon and similar donation schemes. I have not given a donation to any gaming site, but I would make an exception with Gamersyde.

The PC version is not sold on Steam anymore, or anywhere else for that matter. Warner Bros decided to stop selling it for the time being.

Thats what they said theyre going to do... or at least improve it a bit. We'll see if that actually comes to fruition tho, I have my doubts given how WB handled Arkham Origins

So far the PC version is working well for me. But yeah, there no reason that people have to have a look around in the ini. files to raise the fps. On top of that the graphic options in the main menu feel limiting to be honest.

Watched the whole vid, damn you put in 25k of your own money into Gamersyde and none of you are paid that is dedication and shows how much you love what you do, much respect.

Sucks about the add company bullshit I hope you guys can get that settled and figure something out, the Patreon sounds like a great idea I think it will work great.

Very cool about Edios and others giving you guys respect and appreciating your work its much deserved.

Sucks you had to prove yourself and make a legit company to be taken seriously and get respect so you get any videos at all. I know what that is like I am a new game dev and indie game company and it’s not easy to get respect at the start.

Really hope the stealing of your guys stuff and re posts stops that is total bullshit especially if you consider all the work you guys put into it.

Anyways I have lurked for years and always loved your content and videos I hope you find a way to figure out your finances and one day you guys make money(like you dreamed) to pay for all the work you all do.

All the best, hope things work out. Btw a new PC patch of BM came out yesterday seems good and made a diff, hope it gets better, crazy they pulled it from Steam(but it’s a good thing).
