Batman: Arkham Origins was announced quite recently and a good number of websites have put up the first screenshots of the game in the past few days, which is why we've decided to do the same. Inspired by Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, this new episode will put us in the shoes of the Dark Knight early in his career, back when he was still unexperienced but also persuaded that he could never be beaten. In Origins, Batman is about to meet his first seriously dangerous enemy, the type who will transform him into the hero we all know now. The guys at Warner Bros Montreal will have to prove this third game can be just as big as the other two, but the fact that Ben Mattes, whom we had met a while back, is the game's producer is making us confident.

the bigger city isn't great news for me, since i didn't like arkham city for that reason. the lack of returning voice actors isn't great either, but it looks pretty nice and i don't hate the design of batman. might not buy it like i did the last 2, but i'll play it.

Some choice wallpapers in there. Not sure how I feel about Kevin Conroy not being Batman in this. Might wait and see what Rocksteady is up to.

Yeah, I like this Batman design more than Rocksteadys, but changing voice actors sounds pretty stupid.

Well he's supposed to be 7 or 8 younger if I'm not mistaken, so it makes sense I guess. I just hope they choose the right person for the role. Conroy's voice probably sounds too "experienced and mature". Hopefully, they won't cast a Joe Pesci sound-alike though. ^^

Fantastic images and poses of Batman, great artstyle (better than AA and AC), and these new devs (from Prototype 1) I hope they can pull it off.
As long as they give us semi-open levels like AC and solid good combat like AC games I am good.

Can't wait for fooage.

This trend of replacing iconic voice actors is a very stupid trend, in my humble opinion. What's next...the next Tomb Raider game voiced by Kim Kardashian?

Worrying about his voice is a bit silly. There's a plethora of voice talent out there that I'm sure would do an excellent job. I'd be more worried about the story and how this actually plays. The previous two games were exceptional and both distinct from each other. If a bigger city means vehicles and larger scale battles, then fair enough. If it's another AC, then it'll fall slightly flat. Amazing art as usual, though. PC shots, no doubt, but still impressive that this isn't even touching on any next gen features.

Kevin Conry and Mark Hamill have been in their roles since Batman exploded in the 90s. The reason why the first two games were so amazing was due in no small part to their perfection in playing the roles.

Combine this with a new team, no next-gen release and it has the makings of a cash-in written all over it. Let's hope we're wrong.

I dunno.. the DC universe is pretty damn rich.. do we really need a batman game every year? as it sounds like the plan is to have two separate teams working on them annually like cod. I can see myself easily getting batman fatigue already..and if this was an official third in the franchise I still wouldn't feel too excited for it just yet.

Atleast stick the batmobile in it.

Agreed. I was kind hoping this franchise would stay dark until next-gen was on its legs, or at least E3. Feel like they jumped the gun. Arkham City was fantastic. It deserves a true successor, and maybe some new open world mechanics.

I keep hearing rocksteady are working on a camp 60s themed batman for next gen. This is clearly just a quick cash grab before the gen is up.

And there is no vehicles. The bat jet is in there, but it merely acts as context to their fast travel system.

Still not sure about this one. I hate that Kevin Conroy and Hamill aren't back, and I'm not sure what they are planning on adding/changing to get me interested again. I love the first two to death, but just making a bigger city and new enemies isn't going to do it for me I'm afraid.

The differences between this Batman and the other two is pretty negligible to me.

Also a time difference is no excuse for the voice actor changes.
Conroy has been a voice for Batman in a number of different time frames or variants of Batman.
I assume they just didn't want to pay them.

The only case I accept for voice acting changes are in the Dark Knight Returns animated movies.

Do you know how these guys get inspired to draw a buff batman? they go to a gym and stare at men... then ask a select few to pose and thats how you get your buff batman that really can't even do cardio, its all to feed the little kid mentality that a guy has to be huge to be strong...

Also there are too many batmans in videogames, batman needs to die...or get robin back in the games and films
