Battle Fantasia coming to Europe

Battle Fantasia coming to Europe

505 Games has announced that they are bringing Battle Fantasia to Europe on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2009. Images can be found inside, and we also have some footage of the Japanese version in the game info page - may be worth checking out after these good news.

I have the Japanese demo for this. It's awesome. Any word on a US release though, or will I have to import from Europe? (Never thought I'd ask such a question!)

It looked better on my TV while playing the japanese demo. Weird.

I don't know how I feel about chopping up a cute little magical bunny with a chainsaw, but alright.

I think you'll find it's been THIS gen for a few years now. ;)

I mean, if it was next gen I'd expect it to look like an actual rabbit with a photorealistic boy and chainsaw.

So because it's 3d gfx but 2d gameplay it's a game in 2.5d? That's brilliant. At any rate i think the characters are terrible and i just can't comment on the gameplay...hardly a title i'd rush to pick up so far.

It looks like the shots are smaller and compressed shots resized or something. I haven't played the game but I'm sure earlier shots and video I saw looked better and not as jaggy.

Is this a full retail game or an Arcade/PSN release?

I don't mean to bash the game, as I know bothing about it besides what was said in this article, but aside from the graphics there seems to be a lack of content. Twelve characters, in an age were over 30 is the norm?

Full retail, I believe. More characters don't actually make a game better, anyhow. If I were going to complain about anything, it would be the single player presentation. How come Virtua Fighter is the only game that can get that right? I'm hoping for a bit of a budget pricing for future fighters without enough solo depth.. but I'm guessing we won't witness such an event for the likes of Street Fighter 4, considering the potential brand power they're dealing with.

I'm buying this regardless.. perhaps on the Xbox, I haven't decided yet.

You expect too much :|

This game is really fun, anyone who hasn't tried the demo on the JP PSN should def try it.

Thats not a chainsaw its an effing popsicle stick. Chainsaws have... CHAINS. or, a chain.

Think its supposed to be a bladesaw.

So, then just import European PS3 version in Q1, not big deal.) If Europeans can wait(due translation issues), then and Americans can.)

Or.. we could just get the 360 version :P

I've had a look at the Japanese Marketplace but couldn't find it. (or to lazy to look :P) Any idea as to where it is?

Thanks in advance

Damn I really wanted to buy it on PS3. I guess it's better than nothing though.

About the game

What's up?
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: halo 6 should incorporate all the halo species to date. Humans, covenant, brutes, flood, forerunner & also introduce a new species (5 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: halo 5 was a disaster storywise. Only way they can fix halo 6 is to drop that other spartan and focus only on master chief (5 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: i love the anniversary mockups. For the true fans to enjoy the classics with a modern feel. (5 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Anyway, it's early days. The next time we hear about Halo after Halo Wars 2 will be E3, and it will either be H3: Anniversary or a Halo 6 trailer and my money is on H3: A. (8 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz The H6 campaign I meant. (8 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @amerakindesi: I liked 4's campaign as well, 5 was a massive misstep and while Joe isn't necessary for the H5 campaign to be good, I think he is necessary for it to be epic. (8 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi To be frank though I loved halo 1, halo 2, halo 3, halo 4 campaigns in that order. 4 was my fav. (8 Hours ago)
