Looking at the gun while you were in motion and how it looked when you reloaded is all the convincing you really needed.
Oh God...
(oh btw, i shot down a helicopter with a rocket launcher while the chopper was at full speed and altitude, Arnold would be proad...)
But lets drop the PC BS for now ok? For people that don't play on the PC BF2:MC is a very good game..
I love with the whole blur thing when you turn really fast and when you reload. I havent played the BLACK on Xbox, but I have seen gameplays. And in BLACK when you reloaded your weapon everything around you blurs out and you focus on reloading your weapon, love it!
But the thing is that it has some clithes (I think you call that?) the reloaded animation stucks up sometimes but not always. Or else the demo is superb. The only classes I choose is Assault and Special Ops. I even got to kill like between 3-6 soldiers with a knife without they knowing it, until they screamed in pain ahahah.
That the game got that military tracks in the background is just lovley and hell of a bomb rush. The choppers is soooo freakin hard to control, but I guess I will practise on it when I buy the game. The small detailed thing on the characters that I like about is when they start shooting like a massacre. They are yelling, Cliffy B is doing the same on Gears of War, so thats pretty neat.
i hope the graphics on the final game (and this video) are better than the demo. the aliasing in the demo was horriffic.
also, this is the 2nd demo that i've played before the game came out that saved me $60. i was definitely going to pick up bf2, but after playing the mediocore demo, i may be passing on it. i still have to give it another chance before i decide.
The games graphics looks very good in single player with all the decals, physics and effects but as soon it hits multi-player live they downgrade all the physics WHY????Barrels and boxes are cemented to the ground....even some system link games eg:perfect dark zero co-op system link..has the same issues WHY????Halo 2 an XBOX 1 title has all of its physics in system link and xbox live WHY???? Is it the net code?? can somebody explain..
As a result you get downgraded online games and features etc.. I had a simular discussion with the guys from BC (who made PGR3), why they didn't have more cars on track etc, and they said they were limited by bandwidth requirements.. It also has to do with the voice-implementation, which also uses bandwidth.. Certification requirements for Xbox Live games are still on a ridiculous low 128kbit/s..
I have no clue however what that 128kbit/s means excactly, because obviously games like BF2:MC will use more bandwidth then that when playing on a full server.. Maybe it has to do with people being able to host games aswell on Xbox Live, I dunno..
still nowhere near as good as playing it on a good PC.
But great for a cheap console.
The game will score in the 7's and 8's.

you can't compare the pc version with modern combat on the x360, it's just a totally different game. I've played bf on the pc since its release and i still like it, and i'm certainly gonna buy modern combat for the x360; altough it's different, i like it... ;)
I can't stand how developers think they have to dumb down every PC shooter just to reach a wider console audience. This game just feels stupid compared to the PC version like 90% of other FPS PC-console ports.
It's been said many times before, besides being slower and less accurate then a mouse+keyboard, a controller is just not very well suited to play complicated FPS games like BF2 with because you only have so much buttons, sticks and triggers to work with.. To make it possible to play these games on a console developers dumb-down the gameplay with less agressive enemy-AI. auto-aim help, and removed gameplay features..

Try to map all this on a controller.. It's impossible..
That doesn't make BF2:MC a bad game though.. It's just that BF2 on the PC is better.. That's all.. ;)
Btw, I think they should have picked a more lush jungle map for this demo, and not a urban map.. Urban maps by definition are a bit more dull.. More people would have liked the demo then I think..
The only time the average xbox owner will realize how 'lame' playing FPS on a pad is.. is when they play a FPS on a Revolution (developers have stated the controller setup is simply a dream come true for FPS fans) or on the PS3 via M&K.. (PS3 FPS's will support Mouse and keyboard, its been stated)..
Theres Way too much FPS's coming out for 360 tho, i think developers should create more action-type 3rd person view games which suit the 360s pad best. (oblivian etc)
I recently played my friends import copy of Metriod Hunters DS.. and it was embarrassing that it plays 100 times better than all of my 360 fps's. :(
The game plays AWESOME!! i advise any FPS fan to give it a try. Sooo Natural to play.
ITs just ashame that soon the 360 console will be left behind in the feild that it is supposed to excel in :( It really should have M&K support otherwise eventually, it will be left behind.
By sticking with pad only.. all Microsoft are doing is simply 'limiting' the gameplay and depth of the shooter.. and its a real shame cos the 360 really has some cracking FPS here and on the way.

It sucks though when great FPS games become console-exclusive, meaning people like me will probably never really play them.. But other then that, I don't care..
the second analogue strick on control pads does help with movement however. For things like sneaking it wins hands down. Digital (on/off) controls can't match that without the help of an additional button.
I personally think BF2 looks pretty good, and should be popular on the 360, even if it doesn't touch any of the other XBL leaders.
f2hunter: There is absolutely no reason why the 360 couldn't support mouse and keyboard. for any game, not just fps's.
