Page 1 2 >>That looks awesome.
Already getting 60fps maxed:)
Can't wait for this.
Dice bring the 1943, and the vietnam maps, the more the better.
Edit: ^ 1943 map was Wake Island.
i am a bit disappointed that the maps are hardly recognizable from the original. They look like completely different maps.
Don't quote me on that though haha ;)

I just gotta save a hell of a lot of money to get it, or just not pay a bunch of bills erm... not a good idea.
But yeah I played Battlefield 3 on a Xbox 360 all the way SP mode and also MP for several days. It cannot be stated enough this game pushed the tech all the way to actual function unlike Crysis's epic gloss failiure, I can only imagine how smooth and chaotic it would be with the right parts playing on a PC at 1080p 60 fps, I have seen it and it brings shivers. BTW tomshardware reviewed the game too:

This is the graphics card I want for this game on PC and to destroy all other games in one physical card configuration:

1500 bucks for a GPU is just insane if u ask me...
You can play the game @ 1080p + 60fps with a single GTX570 if you're okay with "high." You shouldn't be though. That makes you a totally fake PC gamer who doesn't support the platform.
Would of been nice to see some harsh weather maps instead of perfect days.
Im finding all the maps in Battlefield 3 a little samey, hopefully these will add more variation.

Looking forward to see these classic maps in BF3.. I just hope they've kept them at least at original size.. Some maps in BF3 feel a bit to small, especially with 64 players.. Or maybe it's just that the flags/objectives are to close to eachother on some.. And like with every BF game it could use some patches to fix bugs.. Anyway, totally awesome game..
P.s. you do not need a 1500 euro/dollar videocard to play BF3 in High/Ultra graphics, that's total overkill (unless you want to play on multiple screens in rediculous resolutions).. I have a 300 euro/dollar Nvidia GTX570 (EVGA SC model overclocked to 580 performance) that runs BF3 at 1920x1080 perfectly (50-60+ fps with everything on Ultra)..
I've tested them all.
Some ultra, like textures, mesh etc. shadows can be either high or med.
But overall, still looks great at high and that post aa is excellent.
I'm @ 1080 and 60+fps.
BF3 is truely awesome.. Best thing I love about it is the total destruction of buildings etc.. It's the next step in physics I've been wanting to see for a long time in gaming.. .
@GriftGFX - Agreed. I really hate those linear maps where are fight gathers in one place and turns into "behind a corner camp fest" I swear it feels like bloody COD sometimes.
(makes every console game inclusing Gears 3 and Uncharted 3 look sooooo dated... time for next gen, so consoles can catch up again for maybe a year ^^)
BF3 looks absolutely incredible on a good pc

the part about the tech being "sooo dated" is completely false and ridiculous

Even the ragdoll on the dead bodies is rather pathetic
The hyperbole here for this game is unbelievable, I mean I am a hardcore Battlefield fan since I own all the games in the series and bought all BF games day 1 but I really don't see the hype. The game is ok (like 7/10) but it needs a lot improvements.
