So since everyone is so busy arguing about silly stuff, I figure I'd comment about the gameplay.

First thing I noticed: Auto-climb! It's loved and hated in Call of Duty. I think it's pretty sweet if they can implement it properly.

Hot damn the object detail through out the video is so damn high!! There is like zero pop ups any where, this is either one very optimized engine or is running on a beast machine. And the audio DAMN!!! I don't even know how to describe it...put other video games to shame.

This is truly a NEXT GEN engine

some things ive noticed which hopfully get fixed:
- some realy low textures
- some animation are not blending properly
- rpg rocket is way to slow (like in many other games) rpg7= 300 m/s (1080 km/h)
-ambiente occlusion is low quality and gives some anyoning white lines on some borders of some models

but for a alpha its really good.ive already preordered it and cant wait to play online.

really low texures? don't know about that
animations are awesome..maybe like one little stop to it here n there
that beacause the game slowed down if u didn't notice for a cinematic feel
you cant really notice that
it is alpha lol

only gripe was the lmg on the truck he was using....he was shooting, but the belt wasn't feeding bullets..other than that best looking fps ever..

Only thing I saw that stuck out was the weapon of the soldier who gets sniped starts floating.

Other than that it looks great imo =)

Looks very nice, reminds me a lot of ghost recon advanced warfighter in the way it looks not slightly similar in the way it plays too.

Very nice though, very very nice.

Repi said this was running on a single GTX 580, didn't specify the rest of the specs though.

It also reminds me of G.R.A.W. I downloaded the 1080p@60fps trailer, it looks fenomenal! It's time for the next-gen consoles, because i will not buy a super PC just to play this game maxed out.

If it was running on a single GTX580, then I don't believe him. A GTX580 can only just average BF:BC2 at 60 FPS at max settings. So it's very hard to believe it can run BF3 all maxed out (an un-optimised alpha code), at 1080p @ a rock solid 60 fps.
Commented on 2011-04-17 16:54:15
Who's to say it's not optimised enough to run fine with one GTX580?
Commented on 2011-04-17 17:06:00
Going thru Repi's tweets, can't find where he might have said 1xgtx580 but still sifting thru it all ;) Would be awesome if true. Maybe 1x Keppler based card could give us a solid 60fps maxed out experience

We will see

nothing to see in this video . we have seen it all before . its just put together in 1 file , instead of 5 .

dissapointing
