A trailer to advertise a trailer...damn thats hot lol

haha wtf?! That so didn't fit the trailer in any shape, more like some bad Youtube music video.

But hey this is EA marketing, remember Medal of Honor and Linkin Park? ugh

They should go with "I got 99 problems but COD aint one..." that would be better haha

I have already witnessed the full version of this :P
I was at the EuroGamer Expo in London yesterday and got to see it before the rest of the world at the Battlefield 3 Developer Session with Karl-Magnus Troedsson, the VP & General Manager at DICE.
I must say I felt quite privileged and the full version is quite something to behold, maybe it was just the sound system and cinema display but oh well.

I don't like Jay-Z or that sort of music but it did look and sound pretty cool I guess, EA's mainstream marketing for you.

and they do add a sneaky jab at COD in there ;)

Trailers like this can only cause harm to the promotion of Battlefield 3. Screw you Jay-Z.

Nothing wrong with the track,lol.

It's all about the game.

This game destroys every other fps/mp game there is.

COD will die a mighty death.

Yeah, reminds me of the awful COD eminem trailer. Odd choice indeed.

The game is set mostly in the middle east, I take it? So what's wrong with having some kind of music from that region? Honestly, every time rap is used for this sort of thing is just completely cringeworthy.

They should've used this instead:

The moment I read 'Jay-Zed', I knew not to download this. Thanks for the warning.

Isn't Jay Z a voice actor in Gears of War 3 as well? What the hell?

Meh, think people need to broaden their musical horizons. Love this track.
Commented on 2011-09-25 22:55:46
They should just use their own music tracks from the game and nothing else.

I'm not into rap heavily either, but it's really not as bad as it your all making it out to be.

  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I mean they can keep upgrading it but why bother when they have more capable engines already. (11 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just think it shows its age in a lot of ways in FC5 and they have better tech so they should use it. (11 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth if they still pay royalties to crytech when using it they probably should (11 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Although I think it's kinda time to retire Dunia. (11 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (11 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @HR2: Ubisoft uses their own engines. They have like.. three solid in house game engines. (11 Hours ago)
  • HR2
HR2 @Melmoth: agreed. speaking of Ubisoft, I wonder which engine they're using for the next Splinter Cell. a heavily modified UE3 like Batman AK or UE4? (11 Hours ago)
