Xbox 360 PS3 Wii

It's been known since weeks now, but it's always good to get a confirmation with images : Beautiful Katamari Damacy will be released sometimes later this year on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Now it remains to be seen if the fact that the original game's creator is not working on this new game will have a negative influence or not.
Update: All 3 pages are online, and in good quality.

The original creator will be missed but I'm sure he had help.

As long as the King remains completely absurd we will be happy.

Well the main contribution the original creator brought to the game was of course the basic idea behind the gameplay, but also the message behind the game. He was essentially coerced into making the second game, and with no other message to tell he made it as a tribute to the first. Ironically the second game is all we ever got here in europe.. officially anyway. :P

So now when a third game is coming out, something he was told wouldn't happen if he agreed to make 2, I feel a bit sorry for him.

Going back to a pure gameplay perspective however, this should prolly be about the same as the other three. The thing missing here will likely be a sense of purpose. I think those that played the first game and were *touched* by its message will feel that they've been here and done this and taken what they're gonna get with them.

Are we looking at the same scan here? I can't make out any kind of details whatsoever, just a game that looks like Katamari. On the other hand though, I'm EXTREMELY EXCITED over the fact that, again, I won't have to buy a PS3 to play a game I want :D !!!!!!!

Can you remind me what the touching story was and purpose was? I can't even remember anymore. I know the kid was sent down to earth to put the stars back in the sky or something like that.

It was a message of peace really.

The entire game you spent collecting *stuff* to make into stars. All the while you came to really appreciate the beauty of that, that everything is that special.

Further towards the end you roll up people and animals uniting them as one.

In the credits you roll up countries.. and when you make those into a "star" or a "planet" you have earth.

They save that realisation for last, and the song is so awesome in its cornyness and simple statement. :)

I remember reading somewhere that the creator didn't want to have all these ports and sequels of Katamari, but the company he works for said they're going to make the games whether he's a part of it or not. It's what makes me believe that games like MGS4 will also come to the 360 no matter what Kojima says.
