Will we see gameplay?
If you played the game on Dreamcast and you are a fan of the short O.V.A. anime and you have fun playing Dynasty Warriors sub-genre games then you will really enjoy this game.
As for Hokuto No Ken...someone did not get the memo... Kenshiro can literally take on entire gangs single handedly...actually if a building is blocking his way, that building with break...hence someone did not understand how Hokuto no Ken as a Musou aka Dynasty Warriors was a well done game.
And though I haven't played the Hokuto no Ken game, that pitch actually makes the game sound even more boring to me. That's like playing a game in God Mode, what's the fun in that? Now multiply that by dozens of hours and it would make most people insanely annoyed/irritated.
I hope Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is nothing like the Hokuto no Ken game and actually has substance to it. Though to be brutally honest - and some people will hate me for saying this, I have yet to have seen or played a "Musou" style game that is very good.
I don't hate the "Musou" genre or anything like that and have tried to get into it over the years, but all the Dynasty Warriors, Mobile Suit Gundam Musou, Dragon Quest Heroes, Samurai Warriors, Sengoku Basara and other Musou games I've played were incredibly boring after 1-2 hours.
They are very simple design-wise and gameplay systems-wise, where you do the same thing over and over and over and over, again and again and again till you get numb and tired of so much dumb and stupid repetition. Sure, the characters have different fighting styles and weapons, and you can upgrade them and level up abilities to unlock new moves, but outside of that the repetition of killing thousands of mindless AI crappy soldiers over and over just kills the fun of these games for me.
I just need something more from games, but to those that enjoy Musou games: have fun!
This one is easy!
