Awesome cinematic trailer, loved the rogue character on design and his awesome mobility (my type of character) but I hate it how false advertised they make them in CGI but in gameplay they suck badly.

Gotta love how this trailer has art direction, especially in terms of characters, that is like a bajillion times better than Skyrim :P

Although an Elder Scrolls MMO doesn't do it for me, I REALLY hope Bethesda is working on hard on ES VI for next gen right now. That would be the perfect game to jump into the next generation with!

That and also all possible ingame videos and screenshots with horrible graphics, ugly characters etc. Yes, maybe original games are plagued with not-so-pretty characters either, but at least we can mod it. Will we be able to mod this? Oh I SO doubt that.

I really get into ... i dont know a word to describe my feeling. I like wizards and mages but i am fan of NORD so i really enjoyed with Warrior class that big man with giant weapons...
I really want to buy it . and i hope it dont get much false advertisement.
PS: Did you notice that tower which stands for cyrodil of imperials . its gonna be lot of fun.

The CGI looked great... other wise I thought this a pretty stupid trailer. Not to mention the direction and editing was terrible.

I hate this fad in editing where it's basically like "let's see how many frantic cuts we can make".

I dunno, I guess people like that.

Yeah, bugs me by far more in movies though. Still thought this was ok. It wasn't to the degree where it's hard to keep track of who is doing what :P

Horrible graphics? Somewhat more stylized i'd agree but also made for scaling, so that as many players as possible can play. On the whole, for an MMORPG i think it looks alright. Not stunning, but alright. Also i don't see how mods make the original product any better. Preferable perhaps, but that's just the community fixing what bethesda cocked up. You can't give the game itself credit for that.

i think we will see games with this fidelity in graphics within 5-10 years... at least at the end of the next console generation

Seriously, don't expect too much. I mean to achieve the polygons and textures, no big deal, but managing the rendering and post processing...no, even if we assume Moore's law keeps chugging along, which it's not guaranteed to do, you won't be able to raytrace in real time at anywhere near that kind of quality even in 10 years time. I imagine that there will be workarounds that produce results that at a cursory glance might look similar but nah...there's a reason why a single frame of sweet CG takes several hours to render.

If we assume something like 8 cycles of moore's law it'll still take upwards to 10 minutes to render one frame. That's a pretty far cry from a minimum of 30 FPS. Now obviously software improvements and computer configurations will change over that time, but i think those kinds of graphics in real time are not probable in 10 years.

edit: As i read through this again i realize that my math is incredibly flawed. Now i feel stupid :P
