I liked Vanquish more than this, atleast that game has new gameplay mechanic with the suit and real-time weapon morphs.
For this game, the only thing I didnt like was the generic space marine outfits, no sign of cool armor suits like Crysis, Vanquish, or even FF Spirits Within.
Vanquish is probably the best third person shooter around, but OMG I find it so boring as hell to shoot robots, guess I'm spoiled by the blood flying everywhere of Gears or Bulletstorm.
Not the game fault at all of course and not this game fault either, is my totally my fault.

I've yet to see a Japanese developer make a game that gets everything right in the shooter genre. maybe I'm wrong and this will be it? but i doubt it.
All shooters, even the ones that get glowing reviews with no mention of flaws/bugs have hokey and piss poor stories, the major difference is how much of a fanboy the reviewer team is infected by or how much they were paid off to never mention it.
What is your definition of a "shooter" that Japanese devs need to make "right"?
I used to have and I did very much play a game wayyyy back gens ago that I regret having sold that is somewhat similar elements to this game even though it was a completely different genre that I was hoping would get a remake... lol
This game is inspired by the same elements that inspired that other game I know of... so far it looks interesting to me as I am aware this game is not really trying to be like the source materials or realistic, its just trying to be a game, however will it be fun or will it be another mee too FPS online game, thats the question...
As for any "Terminator or Arnold..." that would make sense if it was a Terminator game based on the movies or the universe, I'm sure they have been done and will be done again, although there are some elements here, I'm glad this is not yet another Terminator game and instead is really a sci-fi Anime like story/game universe

Dude, armour suits are as generic as space marine outfits. Not all suits are cool too, like Vanquish's is dumb when you lose all power from a simple melee attack. The only thing that suit does is slide. And retractable helmet so Sam can smoke MGS 4-style.
I do know that, but I rather have a armor suit covered the character up rather have generic NPC looking character soldier design.
Vanquish looks decent good, shitty design that one melee attack and power is done, wtf?
My absolute favorite armor design is the nanosuit from Crysis 1, damn badass, though I love the helmet feature from Dead Space 2 how it reforms and deforms itself, same goes to Vanquish.

While I don't agree (I thought the robots exploded in a really satisfying way in Vanquish) it was still awesome how they switched it up right at the end of the game and let you blast some humans in a bloody fashion...

Sir, I demand you to take that back. Both Mindjack and QT may have piss poor stories but calling the "story" of Vanquish piss poor is an insult to all the poor and the piss in the world. Seriously, that game made Transformers 2 movie look like Shakespeare. The actual gameplay was good though (in Vanquish).
As for this trailer, the graphics are decent but the gameplay screams generic cover based shooter and the overall looks is kinda stolen from Vanquish (with less colors of course).
