I could see similarities with ME in the design of the rifle and the armor... but that wouldnt be unexpected considering its a Bioware game..the look of the teaser is certainly different from the look of the mass effect universe and at least for now I wont anticipate it to be ME3..
1st person? 3rd person? Most likely 3rd, but a fps would be kinda cool. Actually, with all the shooters coming out, it would probably be a dumb move to go fps.

Well, you'll be happy to read that both IBM and Intel are working with graphene based semiconductors that promise processors with upwards to one Thz of computing power, now imagine a quad core (or more) with that kind of punch for a CPU and the acoompanying GPU and you'll have some damn pretty games.
As for current games...nothing on teh 360 can even look like that, no matter how much space you have available on teh disc. Besides, swapping discs is entirely possible.

most dumb comment of the week, took 5 years to come to inferior ps3 console versions to show whats the problem, but people can't still quite take the pill.

So much steaming bullshit (shoddy hardware LOL, tell that to Killzone 3, GT5, Uncharted 2 etc.) I don't know where to begin but ME already has issues in some areas of it's graphics, it's saving graces are excellent facial animation and superb overall design aesthetics. It never ran with a particularly smooth framerate and the first game at least had serious texture load/ pop issues.
Skilled programming could yield a port that easily matched the original Xbox360 version but unfortunately it really depends on the team and how familiar/ skilled they are with the hardware.
Also, finally on topic, if this new title is programmed for both consoles from the get go there is no reason to expect either version to be better than the other, in fact they may decide to make the shoddy PS3 the lead platform as Platinum did with Vanquish.
I really hope it's ME-related, but I doubt it's ME3 because they wouldn't show a random soldier they would show Shepard. It's probably some kind of spin off.

Killzone 3 doesn't have especially impressive textures though, that games strength lies in post processing effects. And yes, a great port could be made, but the point with porting a game is that you take a title and make it available for another system with minimum cost and time consumption. It's not so much a matter of what can be done purely technically as much as what makes financial sense.
Also in the end we all know that the PS3 has less texture memory than the 360, that might well weigh in to things a bit. Not that it really matters, bickering over what console is best is silly and a waste of time at best.
