definately mass effect related. the guy is holding a mass effect sniper rifle.

maybe an MMO set in it's universe? a spin-off prequel? could just be ME3.

Anything Mass Effect is awesome by default!

Can't wait to see what it is about.

nah, that would only provide them with more space on the disc, it wouldn't make the machine perform faster; render graphics any better.

Mass Effect Woot! man I heard a rumor that it could be a multiplayer game set during the first contact war.. that would be beyond awesome!

I could see similarities with ME in the design of the rifle and the armor... but that wouldnt be unexpected considering its a Bioware game..the look of the teaser is certainly different from the look of the mass effect universe and at least for now I wont anticipate it to be ME3..

A Mass Effect spin-off/prequel set on planet Earth. You heard it here first folks.

1st person? 3rd person? Most likely 3rd, but a fps would be kinda cool. Actually, with all the shooters coming out, it would probably be a dumb move to go fps.

So...... disregard comment lol!

Games can already look that good on high end PCs, next gen console will pull off visuals like that, assuming developers can afford the resources.

Well, you'll be happy to read that both IBM and Intel are working with graphene based semiconductors that promise processors with upwards to one Thz of computing power, now imagine a quad core (or more) with that kind of punch for a CPU and the acoompanying GPU and you'll have some damn pretty games.

As for current games...nothing on teh 360 can even look like that, no matter how much space you have available on teh disc. Besides, swapping discs is entirely possible.

hmmm, only intrested in ME3 to be fair, as for this project.. from that "guy" i just get a MW2/ME hybrid vibe

"inferior ps3".. what ever dude, your head is seriously rammed in your pants, xbox and ps3 are just as fantastic as each other, except on aint very reliable lol, but to slag of one machine is slag of off the other due to how alike they are..

A Mass Effect MP shooter could be interesting. The only reason I say that is because its Bioware. We'll see come the shit Spike awards.

Before anyone says anything, i hate the reliability of the xbox 360, got nothing against what its "capable" of.

then learn to read first, PS3 is the problem of why so much inferior ports are done, textures look like crap, and mostly lower resolution become the saving grace to optimize performance. Thats why ME2 WILL look worst on Ps3, sure mark my words it will be true. blu-ray or not.

Blu-ray means jack when you have shoddy hardware to take the advantage of bigger (if slower in this particular case) available space.

So much steaming bullshit (shoddy hardware LOL, tell that to Killzone 3, GT5, Uncharted 2 etc.) I don't know where to begin but ME already has issues in some areas of it's graphics, it's saving graces are excellent facial animation and superb overall design aesthetics. It never ran with a particularly smooth framerate and the first game at least had serious texture load/ pop issues.

Skilled programming could yield a port that easily matched the original Xbox360 version but unfortunately it really depends on the team and how familiar/ skilled they are with the hardware.

Also, finally on topic, if this new title is programmed for both consoles from the get go there is no reason to expect either version to be better than the other, in fact they may decide to make the shoddy PS3 the lead platform as Platinum did with Vanquish.

I really hope it's ME-related, but I doubt it's ME3 because they wouldn't show a random soldier they would show Shepard. It's probably some kind of spin off.

Killzone 3 doesn't have especially impressive textures though, that games strength lies in post processing effects. And yes, a great port could be made, but the point with porting a game is that you take a title and make it available for another system with minimum cost and time consumption. It's not so much a matter of what can be done purely technically as much as what makes financial sense.

Also in the end we all know that the PS3 has less texture memory than the 360, that might well weigh in to things a bit. Not that it really matters, bickering over what console is best is silly and a waste of time at best.

Tiz Judgement wasn't all bad though. Overrun is better than Horde and I wished if there was one thing the Coalition kept from Judgement, it was that. Instead of treating it like a horrid bastard child. (47 minutes ago)

Tiz @Sdarts: Judgement changed too much. Stim grenades that gave you double life in gun fights wat? Ink downed you in a second? Verticality in Gears maps? Jumping off rooftops? (50 minutes ago)
