Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was showcased at E3 during Sony's press conference but another special demo was also shown behind closed doors. The following video actually shows small bits of that demo as well as a few new sequences. Enjoy!
Definitely looks to be the best AC yet, at least as far as gameplay variety. The visuals looks very nice, but these look worse than a lot of the other videos I have seen. It almost looks like this was taken from current gen systems, but I don't know why they would do that.
I haven't played an AC game since 2, so this will be on my list at some time...........it just isn't looking like a day 1 or even month 1 at this point...
Looks a lot like assassins creed tbh. If this is next gen footage tho, pretty disappointing. Doesn't even leave footprints in the sand, and his clothes don't even get wet. Just lots of missing details... Doesn't even look like the framerate is that solid. Meh.
I think you guys have completely forgotten how terrible AC3 looked on consoles. Not even the PC version of AC3 look as good as what we're shown here, and we're talking true open world now (finally).

framerate looks extremely solid for a AC game anyway
i am in the middle of playing AC3 right now so i should know. being multigen though clearly hurt it interms of attention to detail

Framerate looked fine. Graphics look good in area's.
Clothes should be getting wet and dripping - Uncharted/tr wetness.
Footprints should be left in the sand, for me it's those little touches i like to see.
The other thing that i did not like was when he swam, there was no water movement, like he was floating.
And at least the dude isn't fucking wearing a white trench coat with a hood.
Being in a modern city should add enough "newness" along with the whole phone mechanic.
It looks alot better than this at least.
