The designs of the main characters are bad enough to make me wait for reviews on this one

If you hate the character designs that badly I really don't get what difference reviews will make, you are still going to dislike that aspect. Personally, I find the overall look of the overall game and characters to be relatively fresh compared to what usually passes but I am so far not sold on how satisfying the actual gameplay will be.

I would not argue if the design doesn't appeal to someone "IF" the game were in Third person but this is first person you will not see your character at all,so its irrelevant how your character would look in th end IMO.

This game looks amazing I can't wait to get it.

I still think the choice in Art Direction doesn't seem to fit the game( I haven't played it, so I could be wrong). It seems lessen the impact, and make it more light-hearted or even somewhat goofy :( It may not look like many other games( comparatively), but that doesn't mean I was the best design choice...

I feel the same way. I think the art style is one of the game's best aspects, but like you said, the gameplay looks like it could really be hit or miss. The game has a lot of great ideas, but so often these ambitious games don't properly utilize such ideas so that it equals strong gameplay.

I do have high hopes for the game though. I just wish it wasn't coming out the same damn time as Forza 3, MW2, and Uncharted 2. Not sure if I'll find the time for it between those games, work, and school.
