Storywise, I didn't get much from it.
Something about you surviving in that planet.
Its a FPS/RPG, got online as well. I think there will be factions you can choose, customize your character, stats, gain exp get better weapons, customize that...etc.
I think it got some racing in the game too.
Thats all I know.
The voice work was good, I have seen worse these days.
From what youve said I think ill have to pay close attention to this game. Back to what the news was, the trailer was really good - good visuals, voicework etc.

I had to know more for myself so I dug up this info.
The story is your typical sci-fi story merged into an RPG style...nothing wrong with that.
Uh yeah, that really looks promising. Can't wait for InGame action...
The mixture of FPS and RPG is a very good idea. And the story seems okay.

This is the game where there are 500,000 different components that you can use to make your weapons!!! This is going to be a freakin sweet game, especially if they make it an online game
keviin...there is no IF...it IS gonna have 4 player online co-op.
The multiplayer aspects of Borderlands are also pretty neat. Sure, there's the four-player cooperative play, but what's also cool is that you can play the game by yourself. Then, at any point in your game, you can take your character with his stats and equipment and join someone else's game. When you're done playing co-op with that person, you can bring back your character and finish your game.
According to the GI article, they are 3 characters you can play as. Each has a distinct look and traits.
Mordecai, the "lone ranger" and "sniper".
Roland, the "hired gun" and "former soldier".
Lilith, the "siren" and "temporal mage".
I want to look like one of the guys with green coats and headgear, so called "bandits".

But honestly, the guess is very strong for it to be end of 2008 or early 2009. They showed the teaser now, next thing they will do is info, screenshots and trailers.

I wouldn't say 1 million :P
500.000 weapons, all customizable.
You can find weapons in ANY planet (I think you can go to different planets) or in Pandora locations.
