Brütal Legend screenshots

Brütal Legend screenshots

While people in Europe are still waiting for the release of Brütal Legend's demo, EA has decided to show a few "new" images of the game. For those of you who missed it DjMizuhara already captured the Japanese demo about 10 days ago.

I played the demo several times and I gotta say that I was quite impressed with the visuals and artstyle. The past images didn't do the game any justice at all. It plays really smooth and if you were ever a fan of Munch's Oddyssey on the first Xbox, this may be to your liking. It's not just a hack and slasher. You also don't have to be a fan of metal, as I am not, to like this game. You just need to have a sense of humor and taste for Wayne's World or Jack Black's ridiculously funny humor. I really wish that more devs would explore different art styles and get back to making rpgs that look like this. The game just looks fun without even having to actually play it to know that it's fun. I hope that makes sense.

pic 3 is the only new one, all the others were in game informer magazine a long time ago.

that being said, ive played the demo about 5 times and cannot wait for the 13th. easily my most anticipated game of the year.

Most of those shots are from the earliest builds of Brutal legend, back before it got its massive face-lift.

Great Demo. I found it hilarious and it was a nice change from the usual games I've been playing lately. Anyone know how long this game is going to be?

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX That gamasutra articles doesn't mention either MNC or DirtyBomb though. So I think we can agree that people tend to overlook gaps in the genre's history. This shit did not kick off with Battleborn/OW. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX OW and DirtyBomb are not MOBA-light games. They are team FPS games that have heroes. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX DirtyBomb did something that was at the time unique. You could not call it unique anymore. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Tinks: I know you think that. But they're not really the same genre. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I could be wrong, but I think the first MNC really did just have classes and no overlapping roles. Think they added "pros" in the sequel. (5 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks some lean more moba, or more tower defense, or more shooter, but I think everything we're talking about is connected (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Surely you can spot the differences. (6 Hours ago)
