it's a good job the actual game looks half decent, because these things arnt helping things at all. they're completely devoid of humour.

reason these video's lack humor is because jack black is following the script of someone who writes for video games. he is doing his best to make a shitty script funny. he does a pretty good job, cus its mostly jack blacks improv that really makes him funny

then why is the game itself funny...that too has a script written by a game developer.

these are just poorly written, and poorly executed. they would have done better to just show small clips of the game...at least there the humour shines through. it's almost as if they ran out of funding for these "commercials" or they just couldnt be arsed coming up with a humerous situation, and thus, we have jack black flailing an axe like a retard....funny to some i guess.

I guess it's a little fun becasue of previous tenacious d stuff and the parody on the whole being metal thing but it's not exactly comedy gold, no.
