Civ: Beyond Earth date & walkthrough

Firaxis and 2k announced today that Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth will be available on October 24th. Those who pre-order will get the Exoplanets Map Pack which contains 6 custom maps inspired by real exoplanets. Watch or download the E3 gameplay walkthrough inside.

How are they ripping off Endless Space? I mean, beyond it being 4X and science fiction. And fwiw.. Endless Space borrows quite a few ideas from Civ and other 4X games. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's a pretty understated genre.

This game isn't even about galactic conquest. They're ripping off Alpha Century, which is their own creation.
