Those character models look really crappy in stills. I mean..OUCH! Talk about low poly and muddy textures.

It's the same engine as F.E.A.R., so it's gonna have some PC leftovers in its graphics. It'll still look awesome in motion, and the soiling of pants will be fact.

This pictures do not do the game justice. Search the net for more gameplay videos and you'll see. I think the lighting and effects look amazing.

I said that it looked crappy "in stills"....I have been following this game very closely and it's one of my top 4 launch games. I was simply surprised after all of the great videos I've seen that the characters are that muddy and have such a low poly count. That's all. Carry on.

^^^ yup, the 18min video can attest to that. I think this is the first truly scary game. I know i'll get chills when i see an enemy's sillouet run past my screen into the darkness, I heard his footsteps, and hear his breathing, so i know he's near. i have only my flashlight and a lead pipe to search into the darkness.
