The irony there is that Far Cry was a series founded by Crytek, on CryEngine. The first Far Cry game was made by them, but published by Ubisoft. (And it was stunning at the time.) After that, Ubisoft took over the series, for better or worse.

Impressive. Gfx wise their games are top notch, animation and particle affect makes other game look more appealing. Obviously art direction also plays important part

I know, which is why I would love to see a return, not that I didn't love 3 and 4

Kinda pales in comparison to UE4.

I'm of the opposite view. But I'm glad that they're pushing each other to be at their best and most optimised. Competition is always great. Last gen 90% of games looked like UE3, this gen I'm glad things are more diverse.

About the game

What's up?
  • Megido
Megido @Sdarts: question is, is it terrible enough to be entertaining? I havent played enough to know yet, but the story so far is total shite. For sure :) (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts But there's just no explanation for: "At some point soon, we better get busy making babies." This is simply just really terrible writing. (7 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts These 2 posts explain a little what most likely happened: [url] / [url] (7 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks They were probably pressured to make it honestly (8 Hours ago)
  • MikeManiac61
MikeManiac61 @Sdarts: I know, it's too much. I think I'm starting to understand why some of key people at Bioware left. They saw a shitstorm comin and they jumped ship. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts ME:A is a disgrace and disrespect to the ME franchise and everyone that worked on the first 3 games, and everyone that was/is a ME fan. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts But the really, truly worst part is the writing and dialogue. I'm no writer, not even an aspiring to be one, and I'm very confident I wouldn't write this badly. (8 Hours ago)
