On PC it will, I hope.

going by the textures and overall sharpness, there seems to be the console version hiding out ;)

and damnit, I've just observed the occurrence of that white-edge-rendering or whatever this is supposed to be called. Makes up for the jaggies on the console and elsewhere.

and if this happens to be the pc version, I mean for real, then they literally improved for the worse, considering the prequel.

This is clearly the 360 version.

My most wanted first person shooter!!!
C'mon March hurry up!

Will be buying it on PS3 and try out the demo (if any) on PC just to see how well my PC can run it and for prettier visuals LOL.

supersampled? PC screens? whatever they are they're FAR too big to be native console screenshots.

i hope this is good tho. but i have feeling it wont be.

A little off topic, but I have to say it; Crysis isn't a prequel.

Why is the arm of the Statue of Liberty in the middle of the city? This is future right? But I hope that the city of the future is not some weird mix of today's New York .

Maybe it was thrown off by the Cloverfield monster?

Maybe. :) But did the Cloverfield monster swam to the Liberty Island?

Ugh, what have they done to Crysis... damn these consoles.

Anyway, these are obviously artworks. Coming from a PC gamer, I have a bad feeling about this game.

Ok. Mystery solved. Cloverfield monster probably crawled to the Liberty Island.

These are re-sized console screens, and of course I'm expecting even better quality from the finished version, PC version at least.

Well, having played Crysis I'm not impressed at all. I hope these are just console shots. Crysis on PC looked better three years ago, this would be quite a setback.

To me it's also much too blurry. Hope this is just upscaled 720p and not some post processing stuff.

You should play Crysis again. These screenshots are more impressive than Crysis 1 (I've just began playing Crysis for the 20th time at max detail in 1080p). The geometry in the screens above is far more complex than anything in Crysis. I'm pretty sure these are xbox360 screens as this is the level Gamespot previewed a couple of days ago on Xbox360. They have been scaled up, no doubt about that.

Actually I would like you to post screenshots from any other game that looks this good. Good luck with that.

if these are indeed in-game shots from the console version, I predict a framerate hovering around 20 +- 5 fps. Then again, who knows how efficient the console engine really is...

what? i like sharpness in games. Slight blur is good but not that big.

How's that for sharpness :D

The motion blur and depth of field in these games add a massive degree of realism as you are moving around compared to a large percentage of games out there.

About the game

What's up?
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: I think MS were in full on panic mode because they wanted to add value to their box, so they showed everything. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yeah they just need to actually implement some of that stuff. They're charting an interesting path. I feel like they showed this game off before they knew what it was. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz For instance, in Destiny, the whole point of getting loot is to get better equipped to do raids for better equipment to do raids for better equipment and sometimes Iron Banner. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: It really depends how they approach it. If you can upgrade your ship, crew etc to navigate more dangerous parts of the sea then it will be a dangling carrot scenario. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Also, like the Division you have to cash in the loot before people steal it for themselves. The Division ran into the problem of just allowing anyone in the instances. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And like.. what's the purpose of the loot itself. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: I feel like what the loot is will determine the way people play. Will there be the standard common to Legendary loot? Will some loot be harder to navigate to, if so, will it be worth it? (4 Hours ago)
