Could be really good. I keep my eyes on this one.
This is the Source Engine, by the way.

Looks great.

But i'm a big fan of HL2 + all the source mods ( DoD CSS ect ) But i feel the source engine, not matter how good it is, will leave games looking somewhat alike.

whenever i see this game i think straight away of CSS when i see the shots. Maybe its just me, looks great though.

I got the same thing sheps, i'm a big fan of hl2 + CSS 2, and everything just looks alike, although it all looks superb i still think few games can match halflife + half life 2.....

Holy crap!

Didn't know it was the Source Engine till you told me.

This game looks nice. Is it also going to Xbox 360? They shoulda ported Half-Life 2 to that instead.... oh well at least it's backwards compatible, hopefully, it'll look a little better on a higher res with AA.

Amazing! Oblivion killer i say! ;)

This and Oblivion are two different games. This is a linear action-rpg. Oblivion is a nonlinear adventure-rpg.

Looks great, port or not, I'm gonna pick this up for PC.

Can't blame the Source engine for making the games look alike, thats up to the artists and how they make the style of the game look. They were obviously going for a look that is pretty similar to HL2 in terms of colors used(more natural colors as opossed to bright colors).

If I made a news about this game, and knowing this is a Xbox website... I mean, of course it will be ported :)

This doesn't look impressive to me, just like an old PC game

You really have to see this game in motion to appreciate why this game is going to rock.

This might be able to outdo Oblivion if it uses the physics engine right. Damn the Source engine is slick.

Rofl yeah...

But seriously who didn't played Morrowind can't undurstand how a overwhelming experience Oblivion will be. I mean..i quitted playing morrowind after 300 hours...i ended up with a long white beard, pointed hat and i talked "thou and thee" for one month after lol

Cool

About the game

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite that's a pretty big deal, as its probably the biggest stumbling block for the tech. (41 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Stuff like inside out tracking and eye tracking, as well as motion sickness solutions should be in place. We've already got a product in development that claims to have eradicated that already (42 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite The potential of it is massive. More so than what traditional gaming now is. Second gen is going to be very interesting. (43 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite We're sort of being spoon fed bit sized "experiences" that either work or don't. I suppose that's part of the freshness of it, though. I just wish some big devs would get more involved. (45 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @KORNdog: Ironically, though, the VR scene is also playing it safe. Too safe. There's not enough big risk titles like RE7. (46 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I can't really wrap my head around being dismissive of indie games. That's a pretty broad label. (3 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus put and end to corridor/cinematic/c utscene/qte/playforyousoyouwon'tmissathi ousoyouwon'tmissathing ng experiences, and start to see more games like Prey/BotW and the sort. Nuts&Bolts is an awesome game, as well. We need N&B2 (5 Hours ago)
