Completly different from the screen caps, but the trailer does look good.

Seems to be a fusion of prince of persia, MGS, RE4

although i can't help but be disappointed by the change in setting, this game looks to be any aesthete's wet dream

yeah I saw those too and this trailer is definitley CGI. The screenshots look......bad. Well compared to the first screenshots and first trailers they showed, the gfx were murdered.

well, i didn't see that coming. And I'm sad to see the concept changed so drastically. It's like a total different game with the same name. Pretty wierd, since the first trailer has so huge visual impact.

Anyways. It certainly looks interesting and graphics are pleasing to the eye.

offtopic - To be fair it made me think of another game that was announced waaay back which seemingly has slipped into hybernation or sumthing - Strident developed by phantagram. Anyone knows the status on this one?

I know its a teaser and teasers usually dont show anything, but fuck yeah, finally. I thought they were going to release a teaser in 2007. Man this gonna be so awesome.

Ps. It is NOT CGI. I have seen the in-game graphics and shit it looks great. It is in-game.

Oh and the teaser music sounded awesome. I have great instincts on these kind of stuff, first Lost Planet, then Mass Effect and then Gears and now my most wanted...Dark Sector. I ripped the teaser music, but damn I want more of this game, I want to own.

err i know the game will look like what i ment by CG was the fact it was not true ingame, i really only like to see true ingame footage (been played while i watch, kinda like porn) it gives you a much MUCH better understanding of the games, much more.

I dont think you have gotten the idea of "teaser". A teaser is just to tease your balls off for more drooling and it wont show you anything. A trailer shows you "unwatched stuff". in-game is totally something else. thats gameplay and Dark Sector wont show any gameplay like around 2007.

Resident Evil 4=Dark Sector, thats it.
The camera is "behind the shoulder" and you basically go around and every behind Haydens (main characters name) shoulder and do your stuff. But the stealth thing is going to be like Rainbow Six Vegas or Gears, meaning cover system which allows you to take cover.

YES! I don't why I was so intrigued by this game from the beginning, and I know it's completely different now, but at least something came out of it, and it looks pretty good.

The game went from far sci-fi to post-apocalyptic which I is better, because it still got high-tech stuff in it but yet the world is destroyed which I think is awesome, that way you can relate to it in our real world in years from now.

Yeah it's no longer the "space" kind of sci-fi, which I was looking forward to, but this could work better for them in terms of more story/gameplay flexibility. Oh & btw, the trailer looks in-game to me... all the better that most of you think it's CGI just means how good the graphics are :D

i did not mean that kinda CGI i ment like... err, halos CGI you know it uses ingame but still in unplayable video form

Ah right. You mean clips rendered in-engine. I don't think they would spoil the gameplay with actual footage just yet though ;)

well Man, thats called in-game editing. It uses the real-time engine that they use in-game and they edit it so it looks more cinematic. Alot of games do this like Gears, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Lost Planet...etc. And like Twoism said, its good that people are keep saying it looks CGI or it is CGI, while it is not CGI, just proves that this game looks as great to be a CGI while its real-time.

This far more important to me than Gears, Halo, Mass Effect, Lost Planet. Though I am not saying they suck, they all rock my 360 offand I just love them, but when it comes to picking one, Dark Sector is close. First it was Ninja Gaiden 2, but not anymore, especially when I know what direction DE is going to take this game.

The only thing that bugs me is that Haydens face and hair should change, I do not like it, but everything else is good.

Interesting! looks like a cross between Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resident Evil 5? just not as good! ha!, still too early really to say anything..... apart from it left me a bit cold? doesn't look too shabby tho! just doesn't LEAP out at me.

compaired to first video we saw a while ago, this looks bit below par...

I recorded the teaser music and it sounds awesome. They are going for that live good grand orchestra which I just love and only listen to. Not like Half-Life 2 with some techno vibes and stuff.

This teaser track actually reminds me of couple of tracks from the movie "Batman Begins" which has that dark, suspense and alone hero thing, great, just great.

I edited the rip just a tad. Meaning I cut out the the dog sound and that sound from his projectile, but other than that its the full one.

PS. Those two "gray metal" things in the teaser, it looks like they got the same body material like Hayden got on his right arm. Does this mean that when he evolves he gets kind of like them that he can transform his body to more "stealthier" mode?
I know that DE said that DS was a fast paced action/stealth game not like MGS or Splinetr Cell, and that his character is more at Wolverine than Sam fisher, which is awesome...a bad ass, although he looks like a pretty boy (please DE change the face and the hair to more scared up and everything, its post-apocalyptic).
And they also said its going to be mutliplayer online. I think the online mode will be either like the SC games where the soldiers are against two fully "evolved" Hayden character or it got like "skin" type like Lost Planet is going to have.

I am definetly going to get it, I'm still a little confused by the change but if it's stealth, it's mine.
I do hope you get that suit or whatever kind of bio-organism it is right now from the get-go.
Last time I saw anything about this game they had gameplay footage. A radical change...but I hope they keep the japanese drums from the first trailer.

They really did a 180 with the art direction on this game. It looks much more interesting and original now.
