Digital Extremes and D3 released this new trailer of Dark Sector, showing some new enemies and scenes of this quite bloody game. Another version of the trailer, commented by the project lead, is also available.
Man.. these consoles are pretty powerful. For games that look like this to good to showing up so early is great.
A lot of people said there was no major visual jump from the current gen to this gen, but I think such a leap is in the process of taking place right now and there is still plenty of time to squeeze more out of the machines.
Well yeah, the project lead Steve Sinclair said himself that if you are looking for camera simlairity then Resident Evil 4 is the one that smacks you in the face.
And for games that is dark, gory, gritty and scary in a slow kind of way, Dark Sector and Resident Evil 5 is the ones you should check out, I know I am.
wow..bloody and fun! :) But you don't take hits from all those bullets? He just seems to casually walk up and throw his blade while the enemy is trying to gun him down..

It's still in development so the AI is not right there yet. What did you think is gonna happen in the final built? That you can just run infront of enemies or creatures chewing on you and you wont die?
There isn't even display and such, so I think it's like unlimited health and ammo for public footages until they are closer and closer to finish the game.
Looks okay -- like a decent, if uninspired, PC game. A bit too sharp-edged/obviously polygonal compared to games like Gears or Mass Effect. Certainly looks nowhere near the "real time" teaser shown three years ago.

Hmm maybe because 3 years ago it wasent a game. Maybe because 3 years ago DE didn't have any ideas to go with the old concept. The old space concept was just a tech-demo to show off next-gen graphics at that time, it was NEVER intented to become a game.
So you are seriously saying that for 3 years ago that hard looking jaggies looks better than now? Ok.
that game has everything, great graphics, various weapons, some form of unarmed combat, cool looking creatures and humans to kill....yet i found that really boring to watch.

Maybe because you aren't playing it yourself. And they are just showing off moves and stuff you could do in the game. It's not an actual run A to B and kill all the enemies video.

Holy shit I love that move, I am so gonna use that in almost every finish move I can. That literally hurts my guts and throat just watching it.
Those camera angles are GREAT!, As soon as I saw the blade+physics action... I was hooked :D ha ha, *spurt
