Looks awesome as usual. Sure not the most impressive game technically but it certainly has a distinct style and the mood from the first game seems to be intact. So yeah, can't wait for next month when i get my grubby little hands on the Limited Edition :)
*edit: Oh noes! they pushed the date back! I was so sure it'd get a release in september :(
Oh and i realized another thing. Maybe the "Dark" in the title is a hint back at Dark Tower?

it's still coming in september i think. was only pushed back a week, think it's coming sept 22nd
expensive couple of months now. got the collectors edition of deus ex end of this month, resistance 3 start of sept, dark souls end of sept, batman in october, U3 in november. lots to play.
Where i pre-ordered it they claim it'll hit October 7th. But that's all right i guess, i've got a few games to go through until then anyway. Gotta catch up on my Tekken playing when i get home too :P

maybe the 22nd corrisponds to the US then? just remember reading an article saying it had slipped a week to the 22nd.

having said that I completly agree with you, gameplay is what matters in ALL games not just this one.
I'm not sure I understand either of your points. Are you saying he's wrong about the tech being dated, or that people will play it for its graphics? I'm so confused.

In al honesty i think it'll probably do quite well. Demon's Souls suprassed the publishers expectations and got a pretty nice reception int erms of reviews. Now that the word is out i think a lot more people will buy Dark Souls. Sure, skyrim doesn't ave to worry about it stealing many sales, but the agian they are't even releaseing in the same month so people who want both will probably be able to get both :P

I'm sure as heck getting both. And with The Lord of the Rings: War in the North being released in between the both of them, the very much prominent fantasy geek in me is ultra happy.
I never udnerstood why you'd call Demon's Souls an RPG though. It has a few RPG elements to it, like leveling up, but the main focus is obviously on the action/combat. I think the same will be true with this one. But yeah, Dark Souls and Skyrim will be wastly different experiences, no doubt about that :P
hope the difficulty won't be toned down because of all those "generation playstation"-players complaning about Demons Souls (all those possibly haven't been to videogames very long...)
