Darksiders II: Arena mode revealed

Darksiders II: Arena mode revealed

THQ and Vigil Games announce the Arena mode for Darksiders II. Entitled The Crucible, this mode will allow you to confront and survive 100 waves of enemies with your created character. Each 5 waves the player is offered to leave with an item (value being progressive) or to continue, risking to lose everything. Another way to continue to improve your character is the New Game + that will be there too.

My most anticipated title and my new #1 favorite franchise.
This game looks absolutely fantastic.

This mode is what every action game should have if they really focused on combat that is, like this one. And this is a action RPG so 10x better :D

I want it so badly!

Shut up and take my money! No, seriously!

Number one was one of my favorite games and this is probably my most anticipated game this year (especially with Bioshock and others getting pushed out).

Combat looks excellent this time! Rpg elements, awesome arena mode? Fuck yes!

Shame it's out in EU week after US release.

More like inspired by, rather than ripped off.
And they did a great job.

The original game took a ton of inspiration from Zelda, it was basically mature Zelda. The world and style was totally different, but a LOT of the structure and puzzle themes were pretty zelda-esque.

KORNdog I could see them working in a game with themes that fit, say, army of two, or team fortress. But it doesn't really have a place in a game like metro... (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog @digi_matrix: just seems jarring to me, especially in a game with oft depressing themes. It'd be like seeing the girl in the red dress do air guitar in shindlers list. (1 Hour ago)
